Quick summary----> :
Amberle Dragonis ( pronounced Amber- lee Dragon- nus) is the guardian of the Forbidden Forest.
She is a dragon swifter. And because she is a dragon swifter and the guardian of the forest, she can shift into anything in the forest. She also has the memories of her ancestors, so she is quite wise, and can fore see many things.
Anyway. At the age of eleven she gets summoned by Professor McGonagall, the Headmaster of Hogwarts, to sort out this year's batch of first years, because the sorting hat was in need of repair.
So she goes and sorts everybody. Only one of the kids... well he was different.
Daemon Malfoy was sorted into Gryffindor, while his twin sister, Vivian, was put into Slytherin, like all Malfoy's.
Amberle can see that something special is in this boy, and keeps a eye on him.
Trying to keep the forest happy, having a watchful eye on a Malfoy, and a lurking danger hanging around, Amberle is in for a bumpy ride.
