Scarlett's Point Of View
Me, Clint, and Natasha stayed behind to fight off the aliens. Clint and Natasha helped get people traped on a bus as I covered them. Clint came over and stood besides me as he fired arrows.
"Just like Budapest all over again." I called over to him.
"You and I remember Budapest very differently." I smirked at him and continued to fire.
Sage's Point Of View
I ran to catch up with Steve when I saw people hiding under a car. I ran over to them and they almost jumped out of their skin.
"Get off the streets and into the Subways, tell as many and get as many people down there with you."
They ran off grabbing people as they did. I stood up to see Steve take out a few aliens. A few moments later he ran up to me, checking to make sure I was okay.
"I'm okay, let's go back and help the others." He nodded her head and we ran off.
As we got up to the bridge, I jumped on his sheild and did I front flip landing on my feet. As I did, Scarlett spun on her knee with one of the alien weapons about to fire at me. Once she saw it was me she dropped it and stood up. We all five then started to fight off the aliens when a thing of lighting came from the air and Thor fell down.
"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asked as we all walked over to the God.
"The power surrounding the Code is impenetrable." Thor said with his booming vocie.
"Thor's right. We got to deal with these guys." Tony's voice said in everyone's eyes.
"How do we do this?" I turned to look at Steve, I was worry in my eyes.
"As a team."
"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor somewhat looked back.
"Yeah? Well, get in line." Clint replied fixing his arrows.
"Save it." Steve cut him off before he could put in a bother comment. "Loki's going to keep this fight focused on us, without him. These things could run wild." He stared walking looking up at the sky some then at us. "We got Stark up top. He's going to need us to-"
Steve was cut off by the sound of a motorcycle pulling up. Looking behind Steve I saw Bruce. I smiled as he got off and started to walk towards us. The group fell silent. We all started to walk to him as he walked towards us.
"So, this all seems horrible." Bruce started off and I had to fight back a small laugh. I think next to Steve, Bruce was one of the others I got close to over the past few days.
'I've seen worse." Scarlett said and sadness can in his eyes, but he hid it.
"Sorry."
"No, we could use a little worse." She lightly smiled.
"Stark, we got him." Steve said into the ear piece.
"Banner?" Tony questioned.
"Just like you said."
"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you."
Tony then rounded the corner with one of those giant creatures. I slightly took a step back on my left foot. My heart skipped a beat, but I held it down.
"I-I don't see how that's a party." I said, pushing past my soon coming panic attack.
Bruse then start to walk at the creature that was destroying cars as it flew towards us.
"Dr. Banner." Steve sounded lightly shocked, taking a few steps forwards. "Now might be a really good time for you to get angry." Bruce looked back at Steve as he walked.
"That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry."
Turning back around he was in full Hulk form and punched the creature in the face. The armor started to break as the tail went into the air.
"Hold on!" Tony then flew over and fired something into its skin.
Steve grabbed onto me as the thing blew up, shielding us both with his sheild. We all then started to huddle in a circle, our backs together. The Hulk let out a roar as we all got ready. I pulled out my gun and checked the clip.
"Guys." Natasha and Scarlett said at the same time.
"Call it, Captain." Tony said from under his mask.
"All right, listen up. Until we can close that portal, out priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes in everything. Calling out patterns and strays. Stark, you fit the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks, turn it back or turn it to ash."
"Can you give me a lift?" Clint asked Tony.
"Right." He walked over and grabbed Clint's back. "Better clench up, Legolas." Then they were off.
"Thor, you got to try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You got the lightning. Light the bastards up." Thor then started to swing his hammer and he was gone.
"You, me, and Scar, we stay here on the ground. We keep the fight here." Steve then looked at me. "There's people still out there, I need you to find them and get then to safety." I nodded my head and tightened my hair. "And Hulk..." He turned to look at the Hulk who snarled. "Smash." He pointed up and the Hulk smirked. Then he was gone, smashing anything and everything.
"Be careful, I love you." Scar pulled me into a hug.
"I love you too." She kissed the top of my head and I ran off.
