Thinking Of You

Against

I prepared my dress for later's party. Good thing my parents are out of town.

I quickly went to Richard's house, I want to prepare with him. The party starts at 6pm and it's only 5pm. "You're excited! We still have one hour to prepare."said Richard. "I just can't wait to dance with you!" I said. "Well then! Let's dance here so we can dance perfectly." He suggested.

He grabbed me and we stood in our dancing position. Slowly, we started dancing. I lean my head on his chest so I can here his heart beat. We just danced for an whole hour.

After dancing, we quickly prepared ourselves for the dance. When we entered the party, almost half of the people of our town are present. "Hold my hand Liz and never let it go!" Richard said. I grabbed his hand and we started passing trough the sea of people.

Once we were settled. Richard started to talk to his collegues and so did I. After 30 minutes. The mayor arrived.

"I would like to thank all of the soldiers who participated! We are proud of you all! Now let us celebrate!" The mayor announced. Everybody started shouting and stated to the dance the boogie!

Richard grabbed me to the dancefloor and we also strated to dance. We were all having so much fun. Now, the song changed. It was a slow one. Richard offered me his hand and smiled. "Just like we practiced." He said. I placed my hand on his hand and we started to dance. I lean closer to hear his heart beat. Slowly, our mind and body are becoming one. "Umm... Liz... I will go back to the war the day after tomorrow." He said "What! But you just arrived here." I said sadly "I know but the Japs keeps on attacking!" He said "Fine! But promise me you'll return!" I said. "I swear!" He promised.

Slowly our lips pressed together. I was in heaven! Until papa arrived at the party. At first I was shocked!

"Papa why are you here?" I asked "Somebody told me that your in this party! And you are hanging out with that farmer!" He shouted. "We're going home Elizabeth!" He added. "Please papa! Let me stay!" I said. But as usual, papa wasn't listening to me. He grabbed my hand and dragged me out. Richard keeps on reaching but he couldnt do anything.

We went inside the car and mama was inside. "Sweetie! We have great news!" Mama said "We found your groom! He's name is Cameron Walter! Tomorrow you will meet!" She added. "But mama! Tomorrow is the last day of Richard's stay here!" I begged

"No! You won't ever see that farmer again! Tomorrow! You'll meet Cameron wether you like it or not!" Mama shouted. I felt so sad because I won't see Richard again! Please don't do this mama and papa. And please don't leave me as well Richard.
