As we walk up to the gate where Glenn lives, I notice large metal walls, being held up by thick wooden sticks. I'm assuming to keep out walkers and bad people.

A large man with red hair and red beard is at the gate, as if he was expecting Glenn, which he probably was.

"Who's this?" The red haired man says, squinting at me.

"This is Kenzie. I just saved her from a herd of walkers. She's alone, so I was going to ask Rick & the others to see if it's okay. " He states, walking into the gate, me following behind.

"Alright, Ricks in his house." The red haired man says, closing & securely locking the gate.

"Thanks, Abraham." So that was his name.

This place was nice. It had big white houses, gardens, what looked like a food storage. My stomach grumbled at the thought. It looked like a community you'd see before the world went to shit. Everyone dressed in clean clothes, freshly showered. Wow, this is the nicest place I've seen in a while.

We walk up to a white, 2 story house. A curly haired man was out front on a porch swing, holding a baby

"Hey Rick. This is Kenzie. I found her out on a run. I saved her from a herd. She's alone & I was going to ask you if she could stay with the group. She seems like good people." Glenn says to the curly haired man or I'm assuming, Rick.

Rick exams me closely. The baby was smiling at me. I smiled back at her, waving a bit. "How many people have you killed?" People? I've only killed walkers.

"None." I say quietly.

Rick looks at me. "Walkers?" Walkers? I don't keep track of how many I've killed. I've killed a lot, I definitely know that. One Walker I really didn't want to kill.. But it was for the best.

"Umm, I don't have an exact number. But I guess you could say a lot." I look at him puzzled, my arms crossed. Why was he asking all of these questions? Did he think I was going to kill them all or something?

Rick looks over at Glenn and nods. "She can stay. She can stay at your house I the guest bedroom. Now go show her around." Glenn smiles at Rick then at me. Man, he was cute. His smile was perfect. Rick and the baby go inside.

"So what do you think of Alexandria?" Glenn asks, leading me into the guest bedroom. I walk into the room and look around, looking at the details. It a painting on the wall of a rose, which I thought was very pretty. The bed had red sheets with grey pillows. The nightstand next to my bed has a clock, reading the time 3:33. I wasn't sure if that was even the right time or not. I couldn't remember the last time I saw a working clock. I flop down on the bed, exhausted.

"I like it. It's so nice here. It's the nicest place I've seen in a while." I say, staring at the ceiling. Glenn sits on the edge of my bed.

"So are you going to tell me what happened to your family?" He looks over at me. I sit up and criss cross my legs. I fidget with the hole in my pants leg.

"Um, well. It was only my mom and I.. She was trying to fight off a walker and it bit her.. She told me it was just a scratch.. Then she became extremely ill & died.. She turned into a walker and I was left to kill her.. I've been alone until now for about 2 weeks.." I wipe the tears out of my eyes & look up at Glenn. He was looking at me with sorrow.

"I'm so sorry, Kenzie. I was out delivering a pizza when all of this broke out, so I have no idea where my family are. I went back to my house & they all were gone." He looked down at the floor. I scooted closer to him and wrapped my arms around him. I felt so sorry for him & I understood how he felt.

" I'm sorry. We have each other now and the rest of the people here. It will be okay."  I say, sympathetically. Glenn wraps his arms around me & we just sit in silence for a bit. Not an awkward silence, but a comfortable silence. Peaceful.

Glenn stands up releases me & stands up, wiping his eyes. "Thank you Kenzie. I'm going to go help Abe keep watch on the gate. You should rest." He smiles at me and turns towards the door. I stop him.

"Glenn, wait. Thank you for saving me today. I thought I had nothing else to live for, but I guess I do." I smile at Glenn & he smiles back.

"You're welcome. I'll see you later." He smiles and walks out.

I lie down on my bed and stare out the window. The sky was blue and the sun was bright. Looking out at Alexandria, you'd think the world was still okay. Like none of this happened. I wish it didn't. I miss my family and friends. I sigh and roll over. I was extremely tired. I hadn't slept much these past few weeks. A bed felt amazing.

I could feel my eyelids becoming heavy and slowly starting to close. Before I knew it, I was in a deep sleep.

I wake up & slowly sit up, stretching as I do so. That was the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. I look out the window. The sun is now setting and the sky is an orange-red color. I see Glenn talking to a women with short, dark hair. By their gestures, they seem to be arguing. Who is that? Was that his girlfriend? Why didn't he tell me about a girlfriend? But, I don't want to judge too soon before I actually know who she is. I watch them continue to talk, then Glenn and the women walk different directions.

Glenn walks inside and walks inside his room. "Hey, is everything-" he slams the door before I could finish my sentence.

I think I should go talk to him to make sure he's okay.
