The warmth of a sunny day?
The cool air on the rainy ones?
Funny how the things we complain about are also
The things we yearn for;
The things we miss.
My relationship with family is a rocky one.
I'm sure we all hate each other,
But in the midst of the complaints,
I know deep down, we also...
Love each other.
As for friends, I usually put them on pedestals.
But I have noticed that these people I put my faith in
(the ones I praise 24/7)
They always let me down.
It's just funny, you see, how we function.
It's funny that we forget how every coin has two sides;
That our favorite foods can spoil,
And that not all leaves stay green.
If only we can remember those simple truths.
Maybe then, we'd know how important we are to others.
And how sometimes,
we really shouldn't waste our time with them too.
