~Dream~

I'm back in the dark abyss. This time there's nothing at all. No light. I let out a sigh. Then a bright light flashes into the abyss. Blinding me in the process. I'm now standing above the abyss. Standing in the light. I look down and see a figure. I think that's the one I saw before. He shoots his attention towards me. Wait he can see me?

"Luna, did you really think you could get away?" The dark voice says.

"What? What do you mean?" I ask confused.

"Just because you lived doesn't mean you escaped. I'm coming for you..."

The figure vanishes. I'm left dumbfounded, sitting in the light.

~End of Dream~

I wake up to the annoying beeps of my heart monitor. I call for a nurse.

"Is something wrong?" An nurse says as she walks in.

"No, I'm okay. I just want to know exactly what happened. And how injured I am."

"Well you're seriously injured. You broke a few bones and got cut up really bad."

"What about the crash? Do you know what happened. I can't remember much."

That's a lie. I remember everything. The blood, the pain, Maryse crying out in pain.

"Well, the police think that the brakes in your car had stopped working. Which caused your parents to not be able to stop when they rammed into another car. Your parents crashed into another car, sending them both into the ditch." She stops to look at me.

"I'm okay continue." I say impatiently.

"Well both cars flipped a lot causing damage to everyone. In result, it killed your parents and your little sister. You were lucky to survive. We don't know much about the other family. They were transported to a different hospital." She looks down at me with worry filled eyes.

"Oh, okay. Um, if you find out anything, else please let me know."

"I will, now you need to rest."

And with that she leaves. After she leaves I sit there and think about what she said. The brakes stopped working. That's impossible. Our car was top notch. It never had any problems. Why would they just stop working. My thoughts are interrupted when my boyfriend, Alex, walks in.

"H-Hey Alex." I stutter in excitement.

I really needed to see him.

"Oh so now you can talk to me. I texted you and called you hundreds of times!"

"My phone broke. Trust me I would've answered. It got destroyed in the crash. You really think that I would ignore you just because I got in a car accident."

"I think you would've. You're just like every other girl. You act nice but you're not. I don't buy the excuse of 'my phone broke in the crash'. Why would I believe that?" He says angrily.

"Great, first Scarlett. And now you. How come every person that comes to talk to me just yells at me?"

"Wait. Only me and Scarlett have visited. What about your parents or Lyric?"

"Did you seriously just ask about my parents? You know they died in the crash! And Lyric is on her own vacation right now. She already knows what happened. A nurse let me call and tell her. Do you even listen to anything I say?"

"Oh, umm. I didn't know they died..." He says quietly.

"You know what, just get out. I'm done dealing with people who don't care. If you cared, you would listen when I talked to you. Just leave and don't come back." I say frustrated.

He takes one last glance before walking out. I really wish Lyric wasn't visiting her family. I really need to talk to her. The nurse walks back into the room.

"I found out about the other family. They're all still alive. The parents are in critical condition. They're son is injured but not as bad. The police didn't tell us what hospital they're at but they said that they think someone tampered with your brakes."

"W-what? They messed with our brakes. Who would do that?"

I think back to what Scarlett said. He was right, worthless. That's it! Whoever he is, is the one who most likely tampered with the brakes. But what did I do? The nurse leaves me to my thoughts. This time, I fall into a peaceful sleep that I really needed.
