1. Missed me

My name is Arelis and I'm 14. I'm Hispanic, I'm 5'3 with light brown straight hair and the bottom of my hair is lighter I like it but I'd wish it was curly. My eyes are a mix between gray and a little brown. my mom says I get my eyes from my dad side of the family everyone else has brown eyes I'm the only one with different color eyes

Its the middle of January and so far its been a pretty boring year. I'm in my last year of middle school so I get more privileges than most kids do. I've been in the same school for 3 years so I'm known all around school. After being in 12 different elementary schools its nice to be in one school for once.

I hadn't been in school for a couple of days and now I'm going back. I Wake up and take my little sister to her but stop. Actually I just walk outside and watch her walk to the corner. by the time she leaves its about 7:30 I still have an hour before I leave. I get in the shower, while I'm in the shower I play some music. once I'm out the shower i get ready.

Its been about a week and a half since I been in school and I am so ready to go back. I hope things go right and I have a good day. but knowing my school who knows it might go bad.

Its 8:37 and my bus will get here any minute, so I get my bookbag a soda from the fridge and walk out the door. My bus picks me up at the corner so its a two minutes walk to my stop. As I wait for my bus to come I get a text from my friend Liz she's gorgeous she's about 5'1 Puerto Rican curly black hair and thick every where. she texted "amor you coming to school today? " we have a really close relationship so much people always though we dated so we would always say yes.

I didn't want to answer I wanted to surprise all my friends. They'd been texting me non stop for the past week and I had just gotten my phone back in the morning before my mom left for work. I was debating on answering or not. just as I was about to answer my bus pulled up. So I took that as a sign. As I walked on my bus Mrs.Sam was surprised to see me after a while. She smiled and I went to my seat. I ignored all the kids on my bus mostly because they're all 7th or 6th graders and they're still a little immature and honestly I don't like it.

Once were at school after a 40 minute drive I'm ready to get of my bus and surprise my friends. I get of my bus my heart was racing not knowing what everyone would say once they saw me. I took a chance and walked to the cafeteria where we would always meet up in the morning. I look at the lunch line not seeing them so then I turn to our table by the vending machines. As I turn I see Liz and sunny running up to me they're smiling so I smile. They simultaneously hug me and I could barely move.

we walk over to the table and we sit. I still hadn't said anything once were at the table I'm asked questions like "wtf Ari where have you been? " "bitch you couldn't text a nigga letting him kno you okay? " "Nena you scared the fuck outta all of us, we thought something happened to you" I just laughted and they all gave me the straightest face ever. then Damian my ex he's half black and half Puerto Rican he's not that tall but taller than me and his eyes are gorgeous there between hazel and brown. He looks at me and said "well have anything to say? " I looked at all of them and said "I'm back bitches, missed me? "

They all looked at me and threw what ever they had the closest. We all laughed and talked about what happened while I was gone. They were all still mad because I didn't tell them why I wasn't at school. I didn't want to tell them and I wasn't planning to any time soon either. The bell rang and we all got up and walked out the cafeteria. Most of us had first period in building two and the rest were either in gym or near the gym. we walked to the butterfly garden which was the middle of the school and we talked for like another two minutes and said our byes.

Liz, Sunny, janiel , Jason, Z, and me all had math sunny was the only one who didn't have the same class as the rest of us and was across the hall so we all walked together. Damian had basketball and so did Johnathan my boyfriend which was Damian's cousin. Me being his ex and Johnathan being his cousin he was a little angry but then gave in. We parted and walked to our class the minute bell rang and us being downstairs and not wanting to be late we all rushed up the stairs and into our class. And with that my day started.
