I payed for my flowers, and instantly got out of the shop.

"Dad, hey wake up!" I said, while getting into the car.

"Umfsksj... What took you so long!?"

"Doesn't matter. I got these. Dad, I gotta go do something okay? It's important. I'll take the bus." I said, walking away.

"Whoosh! Where what with who when at what time where the hell are you going what are you doing? Can you at least tell me?" He blurted, his head sticking out of the window.

"Remember how you and mom always told me to chase my dreams, no matter how stupid they are?"

"Of course!"

"Well that's what I'm doing right now. "

"Chin-Hae!"

"No time no time!" I laughed and ran.
I thought I heard my dad laugh too.

I continued to run, trying to spot Taehyung.

Where did he go?
Wait, there he is.

He was walking, holding in one hand the rose bouquet and his umbrella in the other.

I was so busy staring at him that I hadn't realized that it was raining really hard.

Shit, my hair!

I still followed him, walking in the rain, not caring if I ended up looking like a floorcloth.

I needed to know. I had to know if he remembered me.
If he had kept the promise.
Or if it was really him, lol.

I knew I was just being stupid.
I didn't care though.

What he had promised me when we were little followed me and helped me throughout my teenage years when I felt unloved.

Every time I felt like the third wheel in 6th grade, every time I got insulted in 9th grade and every time people told me that no one will ever love me, it didn't affect me at all.

Because I was persuaded that he was going to come back into my life.

I still carry the chocolate wrapper in my pocket. It's a good luck charm.

But he probably forgot about it.
Maybe I'm just being childish.
Maybe it's just not him.
There must be thousands of Kim Taehyungs here.

But since I hate reality and rationalism more than anything...

Yolo.

I continued to follow discreetly until I saw him getting into his car.

Ugh, never mind.

I give up.
It's probably not him anyways.

It was too late to find a good bus, so I decided that I would walk home.

I was hungry, I needed a reboot.

"God, I want chocolate..." I said to myself, trying to find an open store.

I peacefully walked and looked around, in search of a place that sold edible stuff.

Five minutes later, I saw a small grocery store with the lights still on.

"Hi~" I said, whipping my muddy boots on the front mat before getting in.

I snooped around the shop, searching each and every corner to find something that would satisfy my belly, when I saw it.

The chocolate.

The one Taehyung gave me 12 years ago.
There only was one left.

Why do they only have one everytime?

I instantly grabbed it, a wave of excitement traveling my body.

I did my signature happy dance on the spot, earning glances from other customers.

I got to the register and handed the chocolate to the old man.

"Is that all?" He asked.

"Yep."

"That would be 7.99 please."

Well that's expensive for a chocolate.

I searched for money in my wallet, and realized that I only had 2.50 left.

Shit... I did not think of that.

"What's taking you so long?" the old man asked, shaking his hand in front of my face.

"Sir, I only have 2.50! Can you make an exception?"

He gave me a nasty look.

"No."

"But whyyy?" I whined. "Look at how cute and starving I am!"

"This chocolate imported from Yubaba and very expensive to get. Me no selling for little amount of money." He answered with a quite abnormal accent.

I gave him the puppy dog eyes.

"No." He repeated.

"I'll pay for her." A voice behind me said.

Next thing I knew, I was staring at Taehyung

He gave the money to the grumpy man and put the chocolate bar in my hand with a smile.

"There you go."

Our fingers brushed, and I got the feeling of deja vu.

Yep, it's him...
