"A... gr...ocery store?" I chocked.
"I'm sorry, It's just that... it's closing soon and I still have to buy a few things 'cause my fridge is empty. Do you mind?" He said.
Smells fishy...
"Not at all." I replied, praying that it was THE grocery store.
I put my hand in my skirt's pocket, feeling the old paper of the chocolate wrapper on the tip of my fingers.
"Tiny problem..." I said, lowering my voice.
"Hmm." He hummed, his eyes locked on the road.
" Ugh erm I... I'll wait for you in the car." I looked down at my skirt, pulling it down to cover my thighs.
"Oh, but I hate being a loner when I shop." He pouted.
Sorry Namjoonie, he's cuter when he does it...
"I can't go dressed like that."
He looked at me and gulped. He had not noticed that before.
" I... Didn't ugh..."
I smiled awkwardly.
"Wait." He pulled over.
He took off his sweatshirt, leaving him in a tank top.
A tank top? Seriously?
"Wear this." Taehyung handed me the sweater, shivering.
"Dude, are you coco bananas? You're gonna get sick. I'll wait in the..."
"I want you to come with me. Please." He cut me off.
"WELL I WILL IF YOU PUT THAT SWEATER BACK ON YOUNG MAN!" I said, weirdly sounding like my mother.
"As you wish." He laughed and slid his left arm back in his sweater.
He started his car again, and drove us to the store.
When we arrived, I hesitantly got in, praying for the shop to be empty.
Thank god it was. The only people here were the humans behind the registers, all half asleep or on their phones.
Taehyung looked around, grabbed a few stuff and put them in his cart, while I was at the candy section, desperately looking for the chocolate.
They don't have it...
As we were about to get out, he firmly held my wrist and pulled me in his direction.
"There you go." He smiled, handing me the chocolate.
"What? No, no, it's yours I..." I instatly put it back in his hand.
"It's a gift. I know how much you like it, Chin-Hae."
SHOULD I LAUGH OR CRY?
"Thanks." I looked down.
I walked a little too fast to his car, quickly getting inside.
"You okay?" He said, pocking my cheek.
I shook my head, turning bright red.
"You seem uncomfortable."
"WHAAAAT NOOO SPANKING NO NO HAHA SPEAKING OF UNCOMFORTABLESS... IS THAT A WORD? I DON'T KNOW. WELL HAHA FUN STORY, I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE THAT TIME WHEN I SLEPT AT MY AUNT'S HOUSE BACK IN JEJU, BUT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME BEING UNCOMFORTABLE NOW WHAAAAT HAHA NOOOO I'M ACTUALLY EXTRA COMFY SEE, I'M PRETTY SURE THE SEAT IS MADE OUT OF REAL LEATHER. NOT THE CHEAP STUFF RIGHT? OH WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT? BUT ANYWAYS I'M OKAY. LIKE, SUPER
OKAY. O-K-A... EUM AND Y."Brilliant little spider. Brilliant. Now he thinks that you're crazy. I hate you, Lee Chin-Hae. Good thing Namjoon isn't here.
He looked at me. His eyes were wide open.
Taehyung was just sitting there, staring at me like I was a psycho. I hated myself.
After a few seconds, he bursted out of laughter.
"HAHAHAHAHA OH MY GAWD... CHIN, I ... HAHAHAHA... NEVER... HAHAHAHA... LAUGHED SO MUCH... IN MY LIFE... HAHAHAHA." He managed to say between laughs, holding his stomach and throwing his head back.
Should I laugh too?
"I try my best...?" I shrugged.
"I wish Nah-ri was as funny as you are." He said, rubbing his teary eyes.
I giggled.
Did I just giggle? LITTLE SPIDER, YOU DID NOT JUST GIGGLE...
"Wait wait wait, do that again." He said.
"Do what?" I asked.
"That thing you did?"
"What thing?" I frowned.
He then smirked, and I knew he was up to something. He slowly raised both of his hands in the air, and started tickling me.
I just stared at him attempting to tickle me for half an hour.
Poor thing looked so disappointed seeing no reaction from me."Bitch, hands to yourself. I'm not ticklish." I pushed him.
"A man can try." He winked.
"Uhmm." I hummed.
"I should probably drive you home. It's 2 am." Taehyung said, checking his imaginary watch.
I nodded.
"Or we can both get a hotel room."
"Yeah sure... Wait what?" I chocked on my own saliva.
"Chill dude. It's just to spare you 'question time' with your parents since you'll be coming back home so late. You can just say you slept at a friend's house." He casually said.
"Hmm. And why a hotel?" I asked.
"My apartment only has one bed."
"You know, you can drop me off at Namjoon's." I said, playing with the fabric of my skirt.
"He has two beds?" He asked.
"Nope. I don't mind sleeping next to him. Don't take this the wrong way. He's like family."
"Family my ass..." He mumbled.
"What was that?"
"Nothing nothing." He cleared his throat. "Anyways, you really seem like you don't want to spend the night with me. Not like spend, I don't mean it like that but..."
"Yeah yeah It's nice of you actually. But what about Nah-ri?"
"What about her? She's probably clubbing and gang banging with unicorns. Who knows." He rolled his eyes.
"So you know?"
"Chin, I met her the first day I moved to Busan, I was like... 7? Our parents set us up together. Hope this doesn't sound gross, but I see her as a sister. I care for her and all... but this dating thing is mostly just to keep her dad away from her. I know her more than anyone, and both of us just see eachother as friends. She knows I know about the drinking and all that shit." He sighted.
"Damn." Was all I managed to say.
He cleared his throat. "It's been awhile, Chin-Hae."
