Things Happen For A Reason

Chapter 8

I wake up the next morning 11 o clock already. I walk in the living room to find that nobody is here except Aubrey and I. I walk back in my room, sit on my bed and grab my phone. Logan texted me "Good morning." Today is the day.
"Good morning" I respond back. No surpise I haven't heard from Bentley his phone is acting stupid. I'm pulled from my thoughts when my phone goes off, I unlock my phone "Are you ready for tonight," Logan texts.
"Yeah I'm ready to get out of the house and do something without my sister! Where are we going? So I know what I should wear," I reply.
"Don't worry about it, leave it up to me, IT'S A SURPISE and wear something casual." He responds back.
Awe he is the sweetest thing and I never even noticed it until now. "Awe okay sounds good and about what time will you be here to get me?" I reply back to him.
"Around 5:30, is that okay with you?" He responds back.
"Yes sounds amazing, see you then." I reply.

I head towards my huge walk in closet to find a casual outfit. I sent Logan a message with my address in it and continue to search through my closet. Yes I found it. A pair of capri pants with a white tank top and a blue long sleeve cover up with black converse also with a light blue scarf.

I go to the bathroom to get in the shower. I walk in my room after I finish up my shower. I dry off and put my clothes on. I grab the hair dryer and begin to dry my hair.

20 minutes later my hair is dyed and straightened. I start to put on my makeup when I hear the front door open. I walk in the living room to see who it is. My mom and little brother finally back home after god only nows where they went. "It's 2 o'clock where did y'all go," I ask my mom.
"Just getting out of the house for a little while," she replies.
"Oh okay well I'm going to be leaving at around 5:30 with Logan tonight," I say.
"Okay that's fine sweetie," she says.
I walk back in my room to finish getting ready.

By 3:30 I'm completely finished and just waiting for 5:30 to come around. I sit on my bed trying to think of where Logan could take me for this date. I start to get nervous as the time approaches. Then my mom walks in my room and asks "If she will be able to meet Logan." My heart felt like it stopped for a second but I just tell her "well of course why wouldn't you be able too." I text Logan and tell him that my mom would like to meet you before we leave."
"Yes that's fine," he replies.

Next thing I know I heard a knock on the door and the front door open. I hear my mom say "Hello I'm Mary." I walk in the living room and see they are shaking hands. "Hi I'm Logan it's nice to meet you." Logan says. Logan and my mom talk about my safety and all of those types of things.

Then we head to his car, he opens the for me, on my side to let me in the car, he closes the door after me. He walks over to his side, he gets in and I ask "Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise," he says as we back out of my drive way.
