Carey Price

To put it simply, Carey Price hated being hurt. He hated to being able to do anything but watch. Watch as his team goes from one of the best to one of the worst. Watch as they plummet from first place to sixth.

He was trying to come back before the season ended, but it was becoming less and less likely. All he wanted to do was get back into his crease and maybe help the Montreal Canadiens make the playoff. It seemed less and less likely that would happen.

Carey still tried to do as much with the team as he could, but there was only so much the injured goalie could go. He went to every home game and tried to stop by for practice, but he was busy for the most part.

The way the season started to deteriorate since December was painful to watch. Carey knew Mike Condon was doing his best. He knew everyone was trying to win. They were professional athletes, they wouldn't stop playing their best.

While the Montreal Canadiens season deteriorated, Carey was stuck trying to recover from his injury. That meant he was also stuck at home in Montreal while his team went on road trips. And Carey is pretty sure he's starting to grind on his wife's nerves.

If Carey didn't know any better, he would say Angela was annoyed by him.

"Don't you have something you should be doing right now?" she asked him one afternoon.

"No, I'm very bored," he replied.

"Then go do something and leave me alone."

"I guess I should head out to therapy," Carey mumbled.

He didn't really have to head to physical therapy for another two hours, but he'd rather not have to deal with Angela being mad at him. That was why Carey found himself wandering down the streets of Montreal.

He didn't have an answer to anyone who asked him why he was out on this snowy day, thankfully no one asked him.

Carey somehow found himself in a park not completely sure how he got there. He wasn't lost, at least he didn't admit to himself he was lost. He most definitely was not lost in a part of Montreal he has never been to.

The weird thing was, this didn't look like any part of Montreal Carey has ever seen. The buildings looked different and even though it it was snowy and cold there should still be people out. There was barely any people out, if any.

The weirdest part of all of this was that fact no one who was out stopped and asked Carey anything. It almost seemed as if they didn't see him or they didn't even know who he was. That couldn't be true though, everyone in Montreal knew who Carey Price was.

The building looked different as well. They seemed to be older and not quite as modern as some closer to the heart of Montreal. Maybe he took a wrong turn and ended up in the historic part of Montreal. That made the most sense.

Carey ended up wandering around for a little while longer before he started to get concerned. He was lost in a part of Montreal he has never been in. What could possibly go wrong?
