A wild flower field surrounded the area you walk barefoot in. The sound of saqueadas filled the air, and a breeze lightly played with your stray hairs. The colors are vivid and bright, different from reality, and causes your head to spin. The scent of the field overwhelm your senses, toppling over onto a bed of yellow flowers, you stare into the ominous blue sky with storm clouds out in the distance. Though the clouds approaching seem frightening you feel seemingly at ease. Staring up into the sky, a girl comes into your line of vision looking down at you, smiling and speaking to you. You watch her lips as your try to interpret what she's saying, but can't comprehend. She holds her hand out for you to grab it, and pulls you up. The feelings bubbling in your chest feel all too familiar, sort of fluffy feeling, and makes you feel uneasy, the once nostalgic feeling you once had left quickly. Everything seemed to be blurry even though the girl tugging you along seemed to be moving in slow motion.
Trying so hard to remember who the girl was, your heart starts throbbing, snatching your hand from hers to grasp your heart as you fall on your knees in pain, why was this so painful? It became very hard to breath as you go from your knees to lay on your stomach, trying to stay conscious. Looking up you see the girl near the tree line, though everything was blurry the look on her face was not the smile she once had before, but a look of utter gloom. Her hand was holding a pale hand, but the figure was hiding in the shadows. You reach your hand towards her trying to somehow get her back from the stranger's grasp. You try calling out her name but your voice is nothing more than a whisper. She is pulled into the shadows, and the once calm field was engulfed in the storm that had once laid overhead. The wind whipped the trees limbs around and the lightning struck ever so loudly, but no rain. Rolling over to your once previous position to look into the sky, the feeling in your heart was replaced with intense pain, to a sadness that seemed to exhausted you. A drop of cold rain fell on your right cheek, slowly pacing down your face, and running off into the ground.....
Your eyes shot open as you awoke to the familiar ceiling fan overhead, slightly rotating and causing shadows to dance across the ceiling. You bring your hand up to wipe your right cheek that had a tear running across it. Hoping to go back to sleep, you lay in bed a bit longer, that is until the sounds of chirping birds rang through the room. Deciding it was time to get up, dawn was approaching, you crack the window to get some fresh air, and drag your feet to the bathroom. Turning on the silver knobs of the sink and splashing cold water on your face, you take a deep breath and look into the mirror.
You study your features, examining the scar on your left eye that ran midway to your nose. Reminiscing the past of how you had gotten your cursed eye, and how your silver spikey hair reminded you so much of your father. Though there is no feeling of regret nor remorse for these people, but more of a numb feeling that couldn't be explained, a void in your chest that felt nothing.
You sigh as you lazily get dressed for the mission you will start today, you sit on your bed putting on your sandals, pausing what you are doing and ponder about the girl. She has been missing for sometime, and more than often than you'd like, you have that recurring dream of her. Continuing getting dressed, you pull up your mask and tighten your headband. Opening the door to the now bright sky, you lock up your house and continue down the neighborhood road with navigation set to Tsunade's office. Sakura and Naruto come into view and block your path.
"Kakashi-Sensei! Me and Sakura are heading out on a mission! You should treat us to ramen when we get back!" Naruto said starry eyed, Sakura elbowing him in the head- "Sorry Sensei, he's such an idiot sometimes." You chuckle, as you wave at the two walking to the entrance of the village. Rubbing the back of your head, you sigh as you know you are already late.....
