Chapter 5

"Where are my black converse?" I growled at myself, as I got ready. It was Monday morning and I have not had my coffee and now I could not find my favorite shoes, "What the actual fuck?" I snarled again throwing a pillow at the wall.

"Whoa is everything okay?" I heard a voice ask me taking me by surprise. I turned to see Michael who was peeking his head in. I sighed when I saw it was he and beckoned him to come in.

"I just cannot find my shoes. You know the black converse, they're my favorite and I just wanted to look nice today." I said as I plopped down onto my bed. Michael laughed and opened my bedroom door, and sitting right outside was my black converse. I widened my eyes and smiled.

"Mikey! You're the absolute best!" I grabbed him and hugged him tight. He definitely saved the already doomed Monday morning.

"I know." He smirked slightly. I put on my shoes and quickly looked in the mirror. These shoes undeniably completed the look. I was wearing my black skinny jeans with the rips in them, an old The Grateful Dead t-shirt, and my all-black converse. To finish off I wore my favorite bracelets, and left my hair down in its natural waviness, "Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded my head as I grabbed my backpack and my phone.

"Let's go." I prompted as we left the house.

When we got to the school it was already buzzing in it's usual manner, kids going back and forth to classes, trying to find friends, or the smaller clique groups having deep and in depth conversations. As we walked the halls I noticed the walls have been recently cleaned from the typical sporting event posters, I guess whatever sport was in season is not anymore.

I bid Michael goodbye as I approached my locker, luckily for me Luke was not here yet. I quickly acquired my book and notebook and closed the locker with haste. I had finally decided what I was going to do in regards to the whole Luke situation. I was going to just forget it ever happened, since I'm sure that he would never want to talk to me again after my father scared him. I was also going to kick the shit out of Leon if I saw him at all today, I was drunk at the party and wasn't able to do what Luke did and I was sort of jealous.

"Jamie? Oh my gosh!" A voice from behind yelled. I turned slowly kind of afraid of whom it was. Behind me at the end of the hall was a blonde girl in a volleyball uniform. I looked turned around again to make sure she was actually talking to me. Why would this perfect looking volleyball player be calling me? She ran up to me, "Oh my gosh. Is it true?" She asked excitedly. I looked up at her and noticed how tall she was, which was really not helping the whole intimidation thing.

"Is what true?" I asked genuinely confused. She sighed as if I should have already known before telling me.

"That you got with Leon after what Luke did to him?" She explained further. My jaw dropped in shock.

"What?" I asked.

"Kyle, who is friends with Henry, who is friends with Jack's brother who lives with Jack, who knows Leon and invited him to the party said that you felt so bad for what Lukey did to Leon. So you took care of him that night in Jack's brother's room and one thing led to another." She squeaked smiling wide afterwards. I shook my head.

"That never happened. Luke took me home after he beat the living shit out of Leon." I explained truthfully. She slumped to one side making a pouty face.

"Lukey went home with you?" She asked. I sighed.

"He dropped me off at my home." I lied, I did not know this girl and was not going to tell her about that, "Wait...Lukey?" I asked almost laughing.
