fantastical as the mystical creatures of ocean depths undiscovered
as bright as stars galaxies away as they burn for eternity

higher than the spiralling towers of future times, in a world too small for us
lighter than the feathers of a songbird

i n s p i r e d
like i could write songs of praise to rival that of even those who'd seen the truly magnificent

s p e c i a l
like i could actually do something
important
like i wasn't just another speck of dust in a universe 
larger than we can ever imagine

that's what you made me feel

before you decided to pull the trigger
