2 weeks later:
It was the last box to bring into the new house. No more night in Aunt Kim's house, we had one of our own now.
I texted Brooke's to see if he wanted to come over to swim and help unpack.
"Hey!" He came into my room and I dropped my box.
"Hey, jeeze you scared me." I laughed.
"I love your new house." He looked around.
"It's amazing. It reminds me of Aunt Kim's. Even the downstairs." I smiled.
"I know, the colors are different but that's inevitable." He laughed.
"Yeah. Ready to swim?" I asked
"Yeah!" He smiled.
"Okay, hang on." I took my shirt off exposing my bikini.
He whistled at me and I slapped him.
We walked out to the pool and just as I put my phone down Brooke's came up behind me grabbing me at the waist and jumping in the pool.
"Brooke's I'm going to kill you!" I laughed.
"That's for beating me that one night at the carnival!" He yelled swimming up to me.
I jumped on his back and covered his eyes so he couldn't see.
"Emma! Knock it off!" He finally flipped me off into the water.
I pretended to choke on water.
"Em! Are you okay?" He came over to me and rubbed my back.
I started to laugh and dunked him underwater.
"You brat!" He laughed.
I started to laugh as I tried running away. He grabbed me by the waist and started tickling me I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to pee.
We stopped fooling around and we layed out on the lawn chairs.
"You excited for Emily to come down?" He asked.
"Yeah! I miss seeing her daily." I smiled.
"Yeah, that'd be hard." He looked at me.
For dinner we all went over to Aunt Kim's since our kitchen stuff wasn't unpacked.
We grilled out in the backyard, the kids swimming. "Alright everything's done!" My aunt yelled.
"Oh wait, Brooke's can you go grab the pizza box from inside?" She winked. What the hell was that about?
"Yeah sure thing." He smiled.
I got out of the pool and dried of putting an oversized tshirt on putting my hair in a braid.
Brooke's came out and brought the pizza to the table.
"Here, Em. First picks." He handed me the plate and I opened the box, writing was all over it.
It read,
I know this is cheesy but will you be my girlfriend?
I started laughing and said yes. Everyone started clapping and some cheered as I went and hugged him.
My mom took a video of my opening it and I looked like an idiot smiling so hard.
"Okay, get together for a picture!" She yelled.
We posed and I had to say, I'm glad we were finally together.
We are a delicious dinner and played board games out on the patio set.
