I woke up the next morning with a huge headache. I looked at my phone to check the time, 1:30pm. While noticing that Hunter had text/called me a million times.
"Good morning, how are you doing..... actually don't answer that. I made you breakfast!" Melissa (The friend that picked her up) said holding out a plate with pancakes, some bacon and my favorite fruit smoothie she always makes.
"Awh I love you" I said sitting up taking the plate. After breakfast, I got up and got dressed (Picture) I walked to the living room. " Your house really is amazing." I said sitting on the couch with her.
"Thanks. So do you want to do anything today?" She asked.
"I'm really thankful that you came to the rescue yesterday after what happened with Hunter...... But one of my friends that I haven't talked to since he moved here and I totally forgot he lived here." I said looking at my phone. " He asked if we could catch up today." I said.
"Oh yeah totally. I hope you have fun. What about me and you tomorrow or something." She asked as I stood up to get my stuff to leave.
"Yes totally it's a date!" I said excitedly. " Okay well i'll see you soon" I said as I walked out of the door and got on my phone. I dialed my friend that I was going to catch up with. It started calling with his name at the top, Blake Gray.
"Hey, Avery very excited to see you calling. Since I live a little farther away how about we meet in the middle at starbucks or something." Blake said excitedly.
"I would love that but I kinda don't have a car....... it broke down..... sorry." I said giggling.
"Sure... I'll be there in like 10 mins." He said.
"But you live way farther than 10mins." I said giggling.
"I'll speed..." He said laughing.
"If you get caught it's not my fault." I said as we both started laughing.
"I won't don't worry." Blake said sincerely.
"Okay I won't" I said as I hung up the phone. Blake arrived. I got in the car and we drove to starbucks. "I'm so happy that we are finally hanging out again. We used to hang out every day." I said making a sad face as we walked in.
" I know right... I miss those days..." He said giggling. " Im making it sound like were 60 years old." He said as we both laughed together. "We haven't hung out in like 6 years... you've changed a lot.." He said looking at me up and down.
"In a bad way?" I said looking down at myself.
"No, you're just.... beautiful." He said smiling.
"Oh okay thanks, You were making me think it was something bad." I said giggling.
"No, no nothing bad." He said as we walked up to the counter to order our drinks and some food. We sat down at our tables and talked for what seemed like 15mins of catching up but was actually 2 hours. I looked down at my phone to check the time. It was 5:30pm.
"Wow we have been here for 2 hours. What the heck." I said looking at him and laughing.
"Do you want me to take you home?" He asked.
" Yes please." I said as we walked out the door. "OH CRAP!" I said looking at the time again.
"What? What's wrong?" He said looking back at me.
"I was supposed to pick up my car today." I said.
"I'll drive you to the car place thingy no big deal." He said as we got into his car.
"Thanks I have really missed you Blake." I said as we drove to the car place. We pulled up and no one was there. I got out of the car and went up to the sign that was on the door to see the hours. "They close at 3:00 on Sundays" I said frustrated getting back in the car.
"I can just drive you home" he said
"Haha the fact is that my mom is in the hospital. And no one has been living in my house for months. And there's no food or anything there." I said looking at him. " I don't know what to do..." I said just looking at the time on my phone.
"If you don't have a problem you can just stay the night at my place, I have my whole place, and a guest room" He said looking at me.
"That would be amazing, thanks so much!" I said smiling at him as we drove to his place.
