The original author of the section Paul.
As seen in the verse above a man named Paul stood looking on in approval of the death of a witness for Christ, his name was Stephen.Paul approved of Stephens death, as well as many other deaths involving christians. Why?
Because he was a Pharisee whose faith was not in Jesus, in the Hebrew Scriptures. (The Old Testament)After the stoning of Stephen, Saul left to go to Damascus with other men. On the way Jesus appeared to him and spoke to him, asking him why he persecuted Him.
Saul became blind because of the bright light when he say Jesus. He had to be led to the city by the men who were with him.
He did not eat or drink for three days. That was until Ananias was sent by God to Saul to pray for him. When Ananias pressed his fingers on Saul's eyes, the Bible says the scales fell of his eyes, God allowed Ananias to preform a miracle. Saul was then baptized in Christ.
From that point onwards Saul was referred to as Paul. His life was always in danger because of the Jews. Yet he continued to spread the gospel in many places.
Eventually Paul became the writer of many books in the New Testament even when he was put in jail. His life teaches us that God can save anyone at anytime and can change our hearts forever.
Paul ended up as one of the most well known apostles for his faith, and perseverance, even though he later lost his life for teaching about Jesus.
