After receiving the Arulin'Holm from Keeper Marethari, Eira gave it straight to Merrill, not considering what the Keeper had said to her. She didn't think that she had the right to keep Merrill from doing what she thought was right for her people, even though they looked down upon her and isolated her for her choice and actions. Blood magic was the arts of the forbidden school, but not all see blood magic as inherently evil. Eira didn't mind that Merrill was a Blood Mage, she was one of the most sweetest and naive souls Eira has ever met. She however,  avoided mentioning a thing about blood magic or mages when Anders was around. He highly disliked it and thought they 'don't really understand the difference between spirits and demons', relying on blood magic.

Both Eira and Merrill were back at Merrill's home in the Alienage down in Lowtown. Eira encouraged Merrill to repair the Eluvian. She was also curious to what secretes it kept hidden within it. Merrill insisted that Eira was present when she repaired the mirror and activated it. She saw it fit as Eira was the one who made it all possible.

Merrill was nervous. She was blabbering and Eira reassured her with her charming comments that all was well, that she had her prince charming by her side, assuring her that if anything came out of the mirror, she would protect them both.

Eira was prepared. She was fully equipped, ready for anything to pop out from the other side of the mirror. There was a single piece of glass shard, the missing fragment of the mirror left. Eira looked at Merrill, she was hesitantly looking at the glass shard in her hand, with the Arulin'Holm in the other to put it back into place. She was trembling. This was the moment she was waiting for. The moment and choice that had made her whole clan turn against her instead of supporting her. She wasn't hesitating from the fact that she was finally about to restore the Eluvian, it was the fact that she had come so far and wasn't sure whatever strength she had left, was going to be enough. With the little strength she had left, she was scared her will power would just disappear. Eira snapped Merrill out of her dark thoughts, and held her hand, smiling, exchanging no words. Only the sensation of touch and a smile was being exchanged between the two. Merrill was calming down. She stoped trembling. She inhaled largely then exhaled.

     " Okay, here we go..."
