Bright sunlight penetrated my eyelids. Ahh... Another day of school. Yippee.

I slowly sat up, my bed feeling more comfortable than normal, but kept my eyes closed as I moved my feet into the soft slippers below me...

WAIT. I DON'T HAVE SLIPPERS!

My eyes shot open and I stood up too quickly, causing me to get dizzy, and fall onto the carpet. My body landed with a soft thud as I hit the floor. Although it didn't hurt, the fuzziness of it freaked me out. Where was I? Did we move? Did I stay over at a friend's house? Was I kidn-?

Oh. I actually was kidnapped.

"Erica!" I heard the voice of somebody outside my room. Sleepily, I made my way over to the speaker. As long as it wasn't Carlos, I'd be fine.

"Yes?" I mumbled, my eyelids barely open as I unlocked the door. As I suspected, there stood Carla in all her fashionable glory, wearing a black, leather jacket, black leggings, a red bow with black polka dots, and some black bootie high heels. She look pretty sleek.

"Erica, you will be starting school tomorrow." That shot me out of my daze.

"TOMORROW? YOU KIDNAP ME, TAKE ME TO AN ISLAND OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN, AND TELL ME I HAVE TO START LEARNING TOMORROW?" Carla stood there with a straight face until my outburst was over. Then, she continued.

"You have school tomorrow, so, I have decided to have one of the other students give you a tour. Please make yourself presentable, and you can give her a call whenever you are ready." I nodded, already starting to turn around, when she stopped me.

"By the way, Erica, here's her number and-" She handed me the girl's number, and paused as if to say something else, but finally she just smiled. "Good luck." She then proceeded walked away, leaving me to browse through my closet.

Thankfully, and a little bit creepily, everything fit me. And there were some really cute items to choose from, too!

As the very fashionable person I am, I put together an adorable ensemble. I was wearing a white tank top with pencil stripes, a black skirt with tiny, black polka dots, pastel blue wedges, and a blue headband. I looked very fabulous.

Making my way over to the phone, I took the tiny piece of paper out of my pocket. The mystery female's phone number was laid out neatly across the page. Although, to an untrained eye, it would've looked like any other number, to me it didn't. Wanna know why? Because there was no area code! Why wouldn't her phone number have any area code?! It did not make any sense.

But, despite the weirdness, I called her.

I'm not even kidding, the second after the phone started to ring, I heard a knock.

Racing to the entry, I flung open the door and there stood the mystery woman. Of course, she didn't look like a woman, but you know what I mean.

"Hello!" She exclaimed excitedly. I awkwardly waved back, and she giggled.

"Not much of a talker, are ya? We'll change that!" She said, annunciating the last word. Without letting me say anything else, she grabbed my hand and dragged me into the hallway. Then, closing my door for me, we took off on our adventure.
