The day started out pretty normal, I had a teachers conference this morning and then I began teaching my classes. First and second period went by in a flash, but third period was when things went downhill. I had just told my class to open up their english book and was about to begin my lesson when there was a soft knock at my door.
"Mr. Blofis," I heard a female voice say as the door opened. It was Ms. Mckenna, a lady who works in the office. I told my class to begin reading from page 195 and stop on page 205 and then I slipped into the hallway.
"Is something wrong?" I asked Ms. Mckenna. She pursed her lips and nodded.
"I'm afraid so," she said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You're needed in the office. It's about your step-son, Percy Jackson," Ms. Mckenna said. Ms. Mckenna told me that she had been sent for the rest of the day so she didn't think I would be coming back. This only made me more concerned as I began to walk quickly towards the office.
