It all started when she was 14 years old. She went out to the local pool with a large group of friends, she thought she would have a great time.
She was wrong.
Before she knew it, she was being practically pushed down into the water by one of the boys, and ran out of breath. She was trying to push herself up to the top but couldn't find the energy. Before she knew it, she had passed out.

Hailey didn't know how she had survived. It was a memory she wanted to forget but was marked onto her brain. She knew that that incident was the origin of the recurring dreams. Sometimes she would try to force herself to wake up, knowing it was all a horrific nightmare but it wouldn't work. Hailey had to live like this for the rest of her life.

Hailey went downstairs to get herself some coffee. When she reached the kitchen, she switched on the lights. As she did so, she thought she saw another figure standing opposite her. It must be my imagination she thought, she was having a pretty rough night. After she had finished making the beverage, she went up to bed, sipped some, and soon fell asleep after.
Little did she know that the figure she thought she had seen was watching her slumber.
