Hailey awoke around 9 o' clock, making sure to get enough sleep after the previous night. She went downtairs, made herself some toast and went down to watch television. "I have nothing to worry about." Said Hailey aloud.

After finishing her breakfast, Hailey went to get ready. You're doing fine she thought. She decided she would try to text her friend, Ethan. It read: "Hiya. Wondering if you could hang out today?" and waited for a reply. It wasn't long before she got one:
"Yeah sure! Can I come over?"
"Yeah that's fine."
"Cool."
Hailey shut off her phone and went back to watching television. She heard the doorbell ring just minutes later. She opened the door to see Ethan. "Hi Hailey!" He said, enveloping her in a hug. "Come and sit down!" Hailey replied cheerfully.

Hailey and Ethan were very close friends, but he had no idea about the dreams she'd been having for years now.

She opened her mouth to speak when Ethan asked where the bathroom was. "Straight down the hall to the left." Hailey smiled weakly.

15 minutes had passed. Hailey walked up to the bathroom door and knocked gently. "Hey Ethan, you okay in there?" No reply. "Ethan?" Hailey repeated, worry beginning to sink in. "Ethan?" She was knocking frantically.

Eventually, Hailey got out the keys from the kitchen and opened the door. Immediately, the keys dropped to the floor and she screamed. Ethan was there alright. The bath was run, and he was lying face first and lifeless in the still water, red flooding around him.

Hailey went completely pale, extremely close to passing out. She ran into the kitchen and dialled 911 on her phone. She explained what had happened, and an ambulance arrived soon after. It was sinking in. Hailey began to sob. Ethan was one of her only friends, and to lose him was the worst thing that could ever happen to her.

But how did it happen? Her first thought was suicide, but it didn't seem very likely. Ethan wasn't like that and wouldn't have wanted to die. And at her house? No. Just then, a policeman came into the kitchen where she was sitting. He explained that his throat was cut and he must have blacked out and fallen into the bathtub.

It was all too much for her.
