Scott’s point of view

Looking over Harry’s shoulder I saw Matt running toward him with the knife.  I didn’t think twice, grabbing Harry I spun him around and then stared into Matt’s eyes.  He looked horrified, I looked down and saw the knife sticking out of my chest.  Now things started to blur together.  I was on the ground and pain was going throughout my body all stemming from where the knife was in me.  All I remember is throwing my hand around yelling Harry until someone finally grabbed it.  I looked up and looked into his eyes.  “I’m sorry” was all I said.

From there I only saw tad bits of things.  The flashes I remember is seeing the top of the elevator with people around me, being inside the ambulance, and then darkness.  I don’t know how long I stayed in the dark.  Slowly my eyes opened and that’s all I saw.  I sat up and there was no pain, looking down the knife mark wasn’t there anymore.  This doesn’t make sense, how can I see my body but nothing else?  I started walking around wondering where I was.  “Hello?” I yelled out.  “Is anyone here?”

I started to panic.  Then I thought went through my head.  I must have died.  I collapsed to my knees and just stayed there I didn’t know what to do.  Am I going to be here the rest of eternity.  No I need to keep moving I’m not staying like this.  I want to live, I want to be with my friends and family.  I started running but nothing changed.  Looking around it stayed the same until I saw something in the distance, I didn’t know what it was but there was nothing else so might as well go to it.  When I got closer I saw it was a golden door.  Slowly I approached it not knowing what was going to happen.  Reaching out my hand I noticed I was shaking.  Then I heard a noise.

“I wouldn’t go in there, well at least not yet.”  I turned around and think my whole body went pale from shock.

“Wh what.  How is… is this possible?”  I was looking back and forth between them.  They haven’t changed at all.  They stood there smiling back at me.

“Welcome home son.”  My dad said.  My parents were both there, walking toward me.  They stopped one step away and opened their arms.  I didn’t know if I was dead or dreaming but I jumped into their arms crying into them both.

I closed my eyes as I embraced them.  It was like they haven’t aged a year.  They were exactly like they were the day of the accident.  When I opened my eyes I looked around.  We were back at my… I mean our lake house.  We let go of each other and they just smiled at me.  “Let’s go home” they both said grabbing each of my hands and walking me to the house.

If this was a dream I didn’t want it to end…

Harry’s point of view

Once Scott was in the ambulance and we all watched it go away everything happened so fast.  It was like my body was frozen but was ending up in different places.  I was in a car with people yelling around me, I didn’t notice who they were though I just stayed silent.  Next I was in a hospital again with people panicking.  Then I was lying down in a hospital bed with people all around me and kept touching my neck and asking me questions.  I stayed silent the whole time, not saying or moving a muscle.  I shook my head and finally came back to reality.  I was now alone in a hospital room.

Looking around I didn’t know what to do.  I heard some commotion going on in the hallway and walked slowly to the door.  Kyle was down on the ground with someone standing over him.  He was dressed in a military uniform.

“How could you let this happen?!”  The military man yelled down at Kyle.

Kyle just stayed there crying a little.  The man was furious he started pacing back and forth.  I didn’t see Big around.  “I’m so sorry Shawn”  Kyle kept mumbling while he was down on the ground.
