I stopped in my tracks and stared at Austin's bike. It was such a typical mode of transport for someone like him. He popped open the seat and got out a helmet and then looked at me. I was freaking out a little. "Why do you look like I am about to kill you?" "Because there is a very high possibility that you are." "What?" he said acting all confused. I continued, I pointed at his bike, "That thing is a death trap, disaster waiting to happen, and you only have one helmet oh my god I think I might pass out I cant get on that thing what if I slip and die and oh what if its worse what if we are turning a corner and I fly off and I am dead or brain dead or paralysed or in a coma or I..." Austin put his finger up against my lips to shoosh me. During my freak out he had made his way over to me slowly with a smirk on his face, I didn't see anything remotely funny though. "Grace, do you trust me?" "I looked into his deep ocean blue eyes and thought about his question. I trusted him with things like not telling any teachers I ditched but my life, not so much. "You don't do you?" He looked kind of hurt but his confidence wasn't knocked. "Look, I am a safe driver, and yeah sometimes I break some speed limits but with you on the back I swear I would never do anything that could hurt you, ok? Now put this helmet on, I don't need it." I took the helmet and put it on my head. He fastened the clip for me and lightly tapped my head, "See, safe as can be." He smiled at me and I took a deep breath before making my way over to his bike. He straddled it with such ease, whereas I was busying trying to swing my short legs over it, this is where my dance background comes in handy. We grabbed my arms and put them around his waist, I could feel his abs through his t shirt. He started the engine and I put my head against his back, now shitting myself. He giggled at me and then started driving.
I had my eyes closed for the journey because I knew that if I opened them I'd probably have a heart attack. When he slowed down and eventually stopped, I opened my eyes. I didn't know where we were but the view was amazing. We were on some hill somewhere. I got off of the bike and unfastened my helmet, Austin took it off of my head. As he was putting it in the seat compartment I fixed my hair with my fingers. "I want to show you something." He said, walking away. I obediently followed him. He started scrambling up rocks and through trees, until we reached a circle of rocks, capturing the sun, with an amzing view. He sat in the middle of the circle and leanded against a big boulder. I joined him, and as soon as I sat down I realised that this circle was actually really cool because sitting normally you were hidden from anyone looking up, but if you were standing up, you could see the whole town. "This is so cool" "Yeah I know" He said whilst taking something out of his pocket, it was cigarettes. "Seriously?" I questioned. "What?" He looked at me so innocently. "You smoke?" "Only a little, not everyday, mainly just socially, or when I'm here." "That's disgusting." I said, with an unapproving tone in my voice. "You've never smoked?" He asked with a smirk on his face. I looked at him sternly "No" "You are SUCH a goody two shoes" He teased me, poking my side. "No I'm not, I just don't want cancer." He got out a lighter, I snatched it off of him. "Wha..""Your not smoking near me." "Aw fuck off Grace" he said irritated, reaching for his lighter back but I held it up out of reach. He looked at me, the smug look on my face, and grabbed my waist, pulling me right into him. I still held the lighter up but he was stronger than me, so I quickly shoved it under my bum and sat on it. "Really?" He asked. "Oh yeah" I said, rather amused. With that he lifted me up and placed me on his lap, retrieving his lighter from the ground. I looked at him, and he out his cigarettes away. "I wont smoke near you, but in return I want you to do something." Shit, I thought. "What's that?" I aksed cautiously. "Come to a party tonight and get drunk with me." I looked at him, drunk? That's fine I've drank before, but drunk with him??? Ehhhhh why not. "Fine"
