"Okay baby just making sure" I roll my eyes. Finally college, something to get me away from my over controlling parents. I grab my suit cases and roll them down the stairs.
"Are you all ready son?" My dad asks from the kitchen.
"Yes"
"What about-" I cut him short.
"Yes I remembered the shower shoes"
"I was going to say protection, but good to hear that too" My mom slaps his arm. I laugh, my dad has always been the joker. But he's also the one that pushes me the hardest, he was my football coach and now I'm going to college for football. So I guess he has something to be proud of.
"Oh Jim, shut up would you" My mom says, trying to hold back a laugh.
"You know the girls are going to be knocking down his door" I laugh, my dad thinks im quite the lady's man. Which I can't disagree, I'm VERY excited to go to college.
"Alright dad, see you at my first game?" I ask, trying to change the subject. He nods, and we hug. I turn to my mom and see her teary eyed.
"My baby is going to college" She cries pulling me into a hug. I hug her back and kiss her on the cheek. "Do you have everything, do you want to make sure again?" She asks.
"I'll see you soon ma" She nods. I grab my bags and head outside to my car.
My dad pulls me towards him and and whispers "Seriously use protection, I don't want grandchildren yet" I laugh and back away walking towards my car.
"Bye Honey!" My mom yells from the door, my dad laughs and pulls her back inside. I drive away and can't help but wonder what my new home will look like for the next four years, or who I will be living with.
Megan's POV:
I put all my clothes into a suit case and everything else I need in the other suit case. Finally college, I get to get away from Tom. Also known as my step dad. It's the usual story, just think of me as snow white except flipped around. My mom and dad were perfect, they were happily married for 2 years and then they had me. I was 4 when my dad died in a plane crash. Maybe that's why I've never been on a plane and probably won't ever go on one. My mom remarried 4 years ago, when I was 16. My mom died after a heart attack when I was 18 leaving me with my step dad, Tom. He was nice to me while I recovered from my mom's death. Even though you can recover from that type of thing. After a few months he started getting aggressive towards me. He would slap me for coming home late. But never to the point of bruises. That was until I started telling him to stop, then he started getting more aggressive. Like punching me or kicking me until I was unconscious. That's when the depression and cutting started. I slowly ran out of friends because they were all scared of my step dad. I got older things started to get worse, as in sexually. Telling me im not pretty and not skinny enough that was enough to make me stop eating along with depression and cutting. But the sexual abuse never went that far thank god but it went far enough. But I knew it was all going to get better one day, and that day is today. I waited a year after high school to earn money, I finally had enough to go to college. I finished packing everything including all the money I had ever saved. I walked downstairs hoping to not get hurt or beat up before I could leave. I walk into the living room and see Tom sleeping on the couch.
"Goodbye" I whisper, opening the door to my new life. I get into my car that was my mother's and head off to college. Where my better life starts. I'm curious to see my dorm and my new roommate.

Theo Baxley , I wanted Theo to be the Greek God. I wanted him to look though but still have a cute and approachable look to him. I wanted him to be a brown eyed beauty, with golden brown locks. He is 22! I pictured him as the guy below (Maybe with our the beard if that makes him older to you) but feel free to imagine him as I describe him or as whoever you want!

Okay guys, this is my 3rd book. I'm very excited for this book because I want it to be very different from my other books. I also know that there is a lot of "roommates" books out there. But I promise I'mgoing to be different! I'm also trying to be more mature in this book. I really hope you like it! Just give it a chance!
