The night started off slow, very few people trickling in and out for over an hour. It was quite unusual for us because this was a pretty popular club on Saturdays. I served my time behind the bar, dolling out doses of whisky and vodka to the beaten down men who came in. One of them actually even tried having a conversation with me.

"You seem pretty young to be working here." He mumbled after taking a sip of his beer.

"Yeah, I'm 20." I told him.

"You can't even drink, can you?" he asked and it was then that I noticed his american accent.

"Not in the states, but in Europe the drinking age is 18." I leaned on my elbows. "Are you from America?"

"Yeah, but I'm here on a trip. You too? I thought you didn't sound British." he cracked a half smile.

He wasn't terrible looking, he had messy blonde hair and brown eyes, an unusual combination, but it worked well. His face was round but he looked lean, and seemed to be about the same height or maybe a little taller than me.

"I'm originally from Georgia. My parents moved me here Junior Year." I explained. He nodded thoughtfully, taking another swig of his alcohol.

"I'm Elijah, by the way."

"I'm Carmen." I smiled. "How long are you here?"

"I leave on Sunday, todays my last day." he sighed. We talked for a little bit longer about America and England and how they were different. It was nice, until I saw a familliar figure walk through the door. My eyes followed him until he was out of my line of sight. I let out a breath and focused back on Elijah, hoping against all hope that he wouldn't notice us.

"Miss Tull," I heard a familiar voice. "what a coincidence." My eyes shut tightly before I turned my head to look at Harry. He stood there, a grin on his face, looking at me before looking towards Elijah. His eyebrows came together as he studied the way me and Elijah were leaning towards eachother.

"What can I get you?" My voice was flat, and I knew he didn't come for a drink. His lips pressed together before spreading into a smile again.

"I came here to find you and ask you a question." he looked at Elijah again. "Mind giving us some privacy mate?"

"Uh..."

"No, you're fine." I told him. Harrys jaw locked and I felt a spark of fear in my stomach.

"I'd think it be best if you left, actually." Harry said, the smile completely wiped from his face. I could tell his patience was wearing thin, already.

"I've got a flight to catch early anyway." Elijah stood, an uncomfortable look on his face as he paid his bill. "Nice to meet you, Carmen." I sighed and picked up a rag to wipe down the counter instead of talk to Harry.

"Who was that?" I heard him ask.

"No one." I replied shortly.

"Did you like him?" he asked. I looked up at him incredulously.

"Excuse me?"

"Did you like him?" his eyes were focused on mine.

"Thats absolutely none of your buisness." I shook my head.

"So you did?"

"He was nice." was all I said. Anger flashed in Harrys intense gaze, his fist clenched at his sides. I picked up on Harrys growing temper and thought it would be best for both Elijah and I's sake if I didn't push him. "What did you need to ask me?"

"Oh, I was going to tell you I'm taking you out for lunch tomorrow." His mood cleared up again and his smile was back.

"Tell me?" I peered up at him.

"Yes." He nodded.

"What makes you so sure I'd even want to go to lunch with you? I hardly know you."

"Then we'll get to know eachother over lunch." He laughed. I opened my mouth to retaliate, but he cut me off. "I'll pick you up, 1:30."

"Harry..." I sighed, but before I could deny him, he kissed my cheek and strode towards the door, leaving me not only confused, but slightly afraid.
