"Here we are!" Exclaims my dad. It only took a few hours, we only moved a couple towns over but it seems like I'm a whole world away. As I stand on the sidewalk holding my suitcases in my hands and my posters carefully rolled up and tucked under my arm two girls who look to be about my age walk past, flipping their hair. "Hey, emo!" One yells at me. Looks like this town won't be too much different than mine. My brother hops out of the car and glares at them. "Shut up before I come over there and beat your ass" he yells at them. He was against me being "emo" for a while but he is my brother and he came around. He just turned 19 but he's still a senior in high school because his birthday is late. "You don't have to do that, Brandon" I say but it's nice to know he cares. For the longest time he didn't show it. He used to lock himself away in his room and play video games online with his friends but soon he opened up. I smile at him and he gives a small one back. We all lug our suitcases up and into our rooms. My dad hired a crew to get our stuff, but it won't be here till tomorrow. I grab my things and rush upstairs as my little sister Mackenzie follows. "I got the corner bedroom!" I yell as she groans. "But I wanted that one!! It's the biggest!" She whines. She's only in the seventh grade and actually the popular girl at school. "Yes well you're the smallest!" I retort and she scowls. "If we're going by that logic then I should get that one." comments Brandon. "I called it Brandon!" I exclaim as he begins throwing his stuff in it. "That must suck" he says with a small smile. I head into the smaller room in the corner scowling but I'm too tired to pick a fight right now.
As I start hanging up my posters I glance at the clock. I guess I lost track of the time because it's already ten. Being the non-typical teen I am, I lay down a blanket and pillow on the ground and fall asleep.
