I remember when
you would call me amazing.
I remember when
everyday you'd say uplifting things.
I remember when
these tears streaming down my face
where happy.
I remember when
we would talk everyday for hours.
I remember when
I would come to you
with my grievances,
and you hoped I'd get better.
I remember when
I had no one but you.
I remember when
we would laugh
and joke.
I remember when
I begged to have my phone
because you helped
me get through the bad times.
I remember when
I was lonely
and you said you'd never leave.
I remember when
I was dying,
and you kept me alive.
I remember when
I used to put the blade down
because I didn't want to upset you.
I remember when
you were my
best friend.
I remember when
best friend couldn't even begin
to describe how much
you meant to me.
