Chap.2:When We Started To Drift Apart We Came Back Together

Carson's POV
???:So you two are to work together on this little project alright.
What?!?! Are you kidding me?!?! Spend the whole day coming up with a song with him?!?! Ugh! I can't believe this! Why?! Why me out of all people?!?! Ugh! Now hold up there. You're probably wondering why I'm flipping out about making a song with...him. Well we didn't stay friends. Hello people things happen and I mean stupid people sort of things. Or as those people put it a mistake. Ha! He doesn't remember me but I'm pretty sure if he did that's what he'd call it a mistake. Anyways let me just tell you about how it was like after a year of being friends with him. With his rising fame and all. Yeah that's right it wasn't Alex who encouraged him to make the YouTube videos it was me! (A/N:Pretend ShootUsDown never existed just for the story and that Austin already started his own YouTube channel for his covers)

*Flashback*
It's been a year now since I've been friends with Austin, well more like best friends. We always tell each other anything and everything. Although lately we haven't been hanging out that much cause he recently became friends with some guy named Alex Constancio who introduced him to two other guys and they all became friends. The last time I ever hung out with Austin was 3 weeks ago, I mean I respect that he needs some time with the guys cause I mean what guy would want to hang out with a girl all the time but I missed hanging out with him. I didn't have anything to do today so I decided to text Austin and see if he wanted to hang out or something.
*Text Convo*
Me:Hey do you wanna hang out today?
Austin:Sorry hanging with the boys today.
Me:Oh..ok.
Austin:You ok?
*End of Text Convo*
I ignored his message and sighed. He's been hanging out with those guys for three weeks straight now. He doesn't even sit with me at our lunch table anymore so it's like things are going back to the way they it used to be like before Austin and I ever met, except for the fact that Austin has friends now who support his dreams of becoming a singer. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my stepmom open the door.

Stepmom:Hey there's someone here to see you.

She moved out of the way to reveal Austin who walked in and sat down by me on my bed. Then my stepmom left closing the door behind her.

Austin:Hey.

Me:Hey.

Austin:So why didn't you text me back?

Me:It's nothing.

Austin:I know for sure it's something. Come on, tell me what's wrong?

Me:It's just I feel like you're gonna leave me ok. You haven't hung out with me for 3 weeks since you been hanging with the guys and I understand that you want your guy time from time to time but I would appreciate it if you'd hang out with me too.

I looked down feeling like I was gonna cry. Austin was the only friend I had since everyone else thinks I'm some freak.

Austin:Hey it's not like that. Carson...Carson look at me.

I looked up at him.

Austin:I'll never leave you...I promise.

I nodded and he moved closer and gave me a hug.

Austin:You know I've been thinking about making some YouTube videos but I don't know.

Me:You should. You might get a chance to catch your dream so go for it please?!

Austin:Oh alright anything for my favorite girl.

I giggled and Austin said he canceled on the guys to hang with me so we decided to watch all the Madagascar movies since we're just that childish and ate some popcorn. Soon I fell asleep having the best time ever with my best friend.

A couple months later...
Well Austin is still hanging out with me but we don't really hang out that much and this time it isn't because of him. It's because he recently started dating Taylor Rafford the school's slut, she doesn't really like me hanging out with Austin and I don't like her at all, I don't know what Austin sees in her but I don't want to hurt his feelings by saying I don't like her. Also he's actually starting to get noticed on YouTube which I think is great! Oh and Austin's really keeping to his promise every time we hang out he always says "I'll never leave you...I promise." I think that's really sweet of him.
But if only I knew one day he would break that promise.
