R.I.P to the girl that lied,
she lied all her life until she died.
If somebody asked her "are you alright?"
she'd put on a smile and insist she was fine.
But she was not fine.
But the world did not know,
the thoughts in her head,
when she was alone.
The thoughts of pain, of death - the end,
The thoughts that no one was able to mend.
R.I.P to the boy that just hid it,
hid all the cuts and the burns and the hits.
And nobody questioned if he was alright,
so he never had to lie and say he was fine.
Just because he was a guy,
and guys apparently don't have to lie,
but if they did,
don't you think less of them would die?
Because you can see hear the spoken lies,
see their eyes fill with sorrow,
because, like girls, guys also get low.
So he kept his thoughts inside his head,
only releasing them when it was time for bed.

Note: this isn't an accurate representative of real life, I just chose these two opposites to make the point that guys get mental illnesses too
