1 YEAR LATER (A/N sorry for the fast forward, be warned there will be one more)
Tierrah POV
I can't believe that my babies are turning 1 year old today, so much has happened in the past year it unbelievable. Mom got to retire from working and she spends most of her time at home caring for the triplets and Rosie along with Marcos help a lot. I have absolute no idea where I'd be without their constant help. Javan and James have barely started standing on their own, but my little princess is all ready running all over the place, making all of us worry constantly but what can I do. Also I'm graduating early from high school. I've worked myself to the bone. Also I've to put in as many shift at the diner that Papa has made me assistant manager. Meaning I earn a lot more then a waitress. Life has been going so good that next week my kids and I will be moving in to our first, very own place, it maybe a 2 bedroom apartment but that's enough for us. Rosie as agreed to move in with me, she will have her own room and the triplets and I will share. I don't want them too far away from my reach anyways.
Right now I'm sat in front of the vanity doing my hair and make-up as Rosie and Marcos watch the kids and make sure they don't get themselves dirtied before the party even starts. I sigh as I place the last final touch, a diamond hair clip that held my hair in a sideways up-do hairstyle. After making sure it was in place, I grabbed my purse and headed out into the living room.
Marcos was on the floor with Javan and James on top of him bouncing on his stomach, Marcos had stepped in as a dad to the kids and help out a lot, although it broke my heart because everything he was doing, Nathan should be doing but I snatched that opportunity right from under his nose, didn't even give him a choice, something I knew would back to haunt me someday but not today. Today I would pretend a happiness I felt half-heartedly.
"Well don't you look beautiful!" Marcos exclaimed as he left out a whistle, which in turn got the boys trying to do the same. Which they failed at, but succeeded at making saliva bubbles which entertained them as we each took a kid and walked out of the apartment and headed to my mom's house.
*20 Minutes Later*
I unbuckled Javan, then handed him over to Rosie, who walked towards the house, I then unbuckle Jazebelle who automatically reached out for Marcos, a sight that never failed to stab and squeeze my heart painfully. I lastly unbuckled James who never failed to fall asleep even on the shortest car rides.
I smiled as I cradled him in my arms, his head dug into my shoulder and his pudgy hand reach for my hair and slightly tugged, causing a single tooth smile to uncoil onto his beautiful face. His cute button nose and thin pink lips.
I walked into the house, looking around I notice Papa Corales, and Benny (Rosie's Brother) and some other co-workers from the diner, Marcos' parents, and some family that I had seen a few times over the last year and 7 months were all here, making my mother's 'big' house seem as if it had shrunk in size. I placed a happy smile on my face and started greeting everyone thanking them for coming and some for been there in the last year or so.
As time went on I seemed to notice that every time Javan, James, or even my sweet Jazebelle wanted/needed something they would tug on Marcos pants or shirt sleeve, and he would give them his undivided attention, never wavering as if what they had to say made sense and mattered. In a way it made me happy that they looked up to them but at the same time I wished...No!...I had to stop bringing him up. I made a choice, a decision and I had to move on just like I had asked him to.
"Have they said their first words yet?" My mom asked spooking me a bit. " Sorry didn't mean to creep up on ya."
"It's okay mom, I was just watching the kids interact with Marcos. And no they haven't yet. Should I be worried?" She shook her head.
