Introduction
Concrete angle.
I slowly crept alone. A long time had passed since I was last here. I saw the grave stone in front of me, an angel girl with an upturned face, her name was written on a polished rock, a broken heart that the world forgot.
I smoothed my hand over the marble wing; it was cold and icy like the heart of the man who had took her soul. I carried on, walking down the path in darkness, alone, only my thoughts to comfort me. It was silent, so silent it scared me. The steady beat of my heart was all of that I could hear, it pulsed in the rhythm of my heels hitting the cold concrete. Why here? I questioned myself, of all places why did he want to meet me here?
Suddenly a blinding light was shone into my face; I shielded my eyes with my hand, confused as to where the source of light was coming from. I couldn't see the stranger’s face but I knew he could see mine. I felt the barrel of a gun pressed up against my bare shoulder, the gun’s barrel was cold, I sensed that this gun had killed many before me. My heart skipped a beat, it was racing. His alcoholic stingy breath surrounded me as he breathed the words; “Have you got it”. I tried to speak, I was paralysed in his presence. He spat at me with disgust, a smug grin wrenched across his face. “I should have never trusted a girl, of your type, with a task as big as this.” A look of disappointment spread over his face. The light disappeared. “Wait!” I snapped at the vile human being, but I was too late to stop the future turning into present. I heard gunfire and fell. Screaming, I clutched my shoulder as I hit the wet concrete, knocking me out. Senseless of what was happening around me, I just lay there motionless.
