{Chapter XI: Let the games begin, 4:26pm, Saturday, October 10th}

I walked into the kitchen. First thing I do is open the fridge. I was dying for some water. I had been working in the Attic since 2 and I'm almost done replacing this leak. I still have no clue what I'm doing, the directions only tell me so much. But it was about 100 degrees in that attic. I had to come out my shirt. I just had too, it got hot.

Besides Mama Cassidy ain't here. She had went grocery shopping. I walked over to the island and sat on a stool and pulled out my iPhone about to open snapchat. But before I could do so I heard the door swing open and heard somebody semi shout the word "maaa"

Sooner or later in walked two woman and Naomi. One of them looked familiar. I met her yesterday just can't remember her name.

"Hey have you seen my mom?" The Lady asked me as she squatted down unzipping Naomi's jacket. As the other lady sat down on the island where I was.

"Yeah, she went to Kroger's she said she will be right back." I said looking at her then at the lady sitting next to me and smile. "August" I said sticking my hand out waiting for her to shake it. She did.

"Katherine, but everyone calls me Kayc" She says as I nod. Kayc, Kayc? Why does that sound so familiar?
I searched my brain for a second. Oh shit that's Jazz's stripper. Haha

I laughed out loud on accident. "Nice to meet you Kayc"

"What's so funny?" She questioned.

I shook my head and smiled rubbing my head. "Nothing"

She rolled her eyes. "Did Jazz mention me or something?"

I shrugged and smiled "maybe" I said getting up and twisting my water bottle cap off and drinking some.

"Well If you ladies don't mind I'm going to go finish my job up in the Attic I'll be there If you need me." I started walking.

"What job?" The other female asked me. I made a 180 turn to face her. "Oh um ya moms got me fixing a pipe up here. But honestly I been at it for 2 and a half hours and ion even know if I'm doing it right " I say getting irritated at the thought.

"Well do you need help?" She asked me sincerely.

"What you know about replacing pipes?" I ask.

She smiled then it soon turned into a laugh. "I can show you better than I can tell you" she said with a cocky smirk.

"Oooohhh shit, show em girl" Kayc added.

She smiled.

"Well by all means, show me how the jobs done." I said biting down on my lip a little as she walked passed me. I followed her the she came to a stop in front of the attic stairs.

"What you waiting for , don't be scared." I spoke.

She giggled softly. " boy please, imma follow behind you."

"Nah ladies first." I looked down at her.

"Nope I insist" she smiled.

"Why?"

"Why not?" She retorted.

"You think imma look at yo luh booty" I smiled as she giggled.

"My booty is not little,"

"Right" I said walking up the ladder.

As I was walking up the steps I immediately got hot.

"Damn its hot up here" I announced as I stood up straight in the attic and grabbed my hair finger combing it into a ponytail. I grabbed the hair tie from around my wrist and twisted it around my hair.

"Yeah why so you think I'm stripped." He said. Right when he said that I examined him. He was so fine. He is the Lord's walking masterpiece. And that accent and tattoos jeez, He making me weak. He should really put his shirt back on lol. "This right here is the pipe I replaced" he said pointing and wiping the sweat off his face. " I just don't know why it won't screw in correctly"

I examined his work trying to find what he did wrong then I look around to see the spare pieces. " well you know, August. With things like this you shouldnt have spare pieces so you did something wrong."

"True, but where did I go wrong is the question?"

"Where's the instructions?" I spoke.

We read over the manual and ended up starting all over. It didn't take long. About 20 minutes later we finished.

"Finally" he said. "I been at this shit all day, where were you at, at 2 o' clock."

I giggled. " at work lol, but you all most had it...." I lied.

"Riiigggghhhttt. You lying to me. But what's your name again little Mama? "

"Jhené,"

"Well thanks Jhené, for helping me. How did you learn how to do that anyway? " he asked.

" well before my daddy passed he was the handy man around here. I was a daddy's girl so he rubbed off on me."

"Thats cute" he said.

"I know" I said smiling.

"You know what else is cute?" He said.

"Wassup?" I replied looking up at him leaning on the wall.

"You" he said smiling. Causing me to blush.

"Come on" He grabbed my hand and started to walk toward the ladder. I walked with him until he let go so he can go down the steps. As soon as I got downstairs Naomi ran into me.

"Mommy!" She shouts

"Hey princess" I say picking her up walking back into the kitchen to here Jazz and Kayc arguing.
