What if cinderella never left her shoe?
Cinderella's story revolve on how a commoner had her happy ending with prince charming because they danced in a ball and apparently she left her shoe behind which was used by the prince to find her or so they said according to Disney. But then, many versions of this fairytale bloomed claiming that theirs' are really the truth or original. But what if the object for a happy ending was never left would prince charming still find his princess?
First of all it's stupid how Charming can't find Cindy without the help of the shoe. I mean, come on! It's not like Cindy had some kind of mask for him not to memorize her face because they danced the whole night, right? And his plan of finding Cindy is absolutely stupid. There are plenty of girls in their kingdom, how sure was he that ONLY Cindy has that shoe size?
And let's not talk about the love at first sight thing they have because there is no such thing as love at first sight. It's not love, it's dove. You can't fall for someone you just met even if you finished each other's (insert anna's voice here) Sandwiches! Okay kidding! Seriously a lot can be fake during the first encounter. What if Cindy was a mermaid who sacrificed her voice just to find the prince that she saved? What if Cindy was an indian princess with a flying carpet? See there can be a lot of circumstances.
So what if she never left her shoe? Probably the prince will get a hard time finding her and he will probably give up and get in a ball again and meet a new princess whom he will marry and they will live happily ever after. Cindy will remain a maid until she gets old and by that time she will have an army of mice whom she will order to get revenge on her stepmother and stepsister then she will live in that mansion forever with her mice.
But then we will lose our dream of our own kind of cinderella story. We will not believe in fairytales anymore. Cinderella's story has some kind of impact in our lives. It maybe bad (like mine) it may be good but still it has contributed a lot on how we view life as a whole. Fairytales lets us in a bubble of happy things that we need once in a while. It pulls us in a trance that we may have our own kind of story out there waiting to be unveiled.
Fairytales are not bad. What's bad is how people view it. It's not bad as long as you know your limitations. What's bad is how you make that fairytale take control on your life. You can't just live like Cinderella who just left her shoe then poof bibidibabidi boo you now live happily ever after. What you need is a dose a reality, that we make our own way, we write our own story, and it is we who take choices. It's not destiny, cupid, or whoever it is that you believe that is moving you to your price charming. It is only you with the guidance of God.
Fairytales were made to give us a breath of fresh air not to pollute our minds with idiotic fantasies.
