No its not the best idea to storm out of the house at 12 am but he couldn't care less,it had been a hard day and getting home from work seeing your mom passed out from drinking all day is worse.he walk aimlessly ,letting his feet take him away from his home ,if he could even call it a home anymore, before he knows it he's at the park down the street ,his family went to the park every weekend but stopped after his father passed away.Being in the park floods his mind with happy memories of the past, of how beautiful his mother had been,of how his little brother used to laugh,of how he used to smile , he misses those things so much the small moments of happiness that blew away with his fathers ashes in the wind .he sits on one of the old benches letting his mind wonder."you know being in the park this late isn't safe" says a soft voice bringing the boy out of his trance.he gave the person standing in front of him a once over, they looks about his age but he's never saw him at school."I said its not safe to be out this late" "then why are you out"the boy rebuttals "because a midnight walk makes everything better" the boy says simply as he sits down. They stay silent for a while before the stranger speaks again "why are you out ?" " I have a lot on my mind "the boy replys easily,"like what?" The stranger ask, it takes the boy a while to reply its been so long since someone asked him what's on his mind,"life...death" he says sadly, "well we all live to die" the strange says as he relaxes into the bench, "yeah I guess so".they sit in a comfortable silence "just like the happiness that left so will the sadness" the stranger says looking ahead "don't get hung up on the past, keep moving forward" the stranger says to the boy with a smile on his face, the boy slowly nods and turns to look at the sky,"its going to be okay" says the strange as he reaches out to hold the boys hand, he doesn't pull away. They fall into a comfortable conversation and before they know it the sky is lighting up, how long had they been siting like this, they slowly get up letting of each others hands. They turn to look at each other "Let's meet again, one of these nights" "I'd like that" the boy says with a small smile one his lips.
