Never Thought I'd Love You This Much...

Chapter 1

Alex Grey POV

I wake up to my alarm ringing in my ear. I groan and roll over to turn it off. I lay there staring at the ceiling. This summer went by way to fast it just felt like school ended. I sit up rubbing my eyes.
*Ding* I look at my phone. It's from Ashley, my best friend. I read it.
To: Alex       From:Ash
    Hey! I just heard that there is a new English teacher. And we have him first period!!!

To: Ash       From: Alex
     Stop listening to rumors.

To: Alex     From: Ash
    Fine then don't believe, but can I get a ride to school? :D

To: Ash    From: Alex
       Ugh. I guess :p

Ever since I got my car, I've been driving Ashley and myself everywhere. I look up to my bedroom door opening. "Oh good you're awake" my mom says then leaves right after. I swear no one in this house knows what knocking or privacy is.
It's senior year, I'm 17 years old and I just want to sleep. Just like every other teenager out there, I Hate school. I don't want to deal with people or teachers or homework and grades. Let alone new teachers for first period. Basically all the teachers at Seattle High have been working there for years, so everyone knows everyone.

Just watch the teacher is going to be a 60 year old man who used to be a professor ,but decided to take a step back.

"Ready to go?" My mom says as she takes my plate.
"Schools gonna be so fun!" My dad says with a chuckle.
My brother Ross and I groan.
"Also take care of Ross." I'm the only one to groan.
It's Ross's first year of high school, so he's a bit nervous.
"Pfft I don't need her help." Ross says.
I roll my eyes, "You need me more than your pants need a belt. "
He pulls up his pants and walks out the door.
"I have to pick up Ash!" I yell after him. I hug my mom and dad goodbye then out the door we go.

"Hey!" Ashley says as she jumps into the car.
"Morning!" I chin in. "So excited to see the new teacher?"
"There's a new teacher?" Ross says
"All the teachers are new to you" I look at him through the mirror.
"People are saying he's really cute. They seen him around school already!!" She squeals.
"Oh come on Ash ,they're messing with you."
"Why don't you believe me" she pouts.
I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know, it just we never had a new teacher come to the school every since we started high school."
"Just wait"

We get to school and Ross just rolls out the car. "Well there he goes"
Ashley opens the door next. "Come on! Let's be the first to class!"
I groan. Watch it's going to be the 60 year old man. I love her but she's so gullible sometimes. She believes a lot of rumors and I tell her over and over they aren't true.
First period is of course upstairs at the other end of the fucking school.
"Stop!" Ashley stop right in front of me. "What the hell!" But she shushes me.
"I don't know if he's in there." She creeps up to the door.
"His door is open just go in." And I push her into the classroom.
She screeches then shuts up when she realizes no one is in the room.
" oh my gosh Ash. Calm down." I sit in the middle towards the left.
"No let's sit near his desk." She smiles and sits down leaving the nearest desk to his open for me. I look at her and roll my eyes. "No. "
"Oh come on Alex. Trust me you love it. " I sigh because I don't want to deal with her. I sit down and put my head down. I hope he has seating charts because I don't want to sit this close to him. "Alex I think he's coming!" She's says pulling my arm. "Ash. Please stop."
Another few minutes go by and he still isn't here. Ashley groans. "I'm going to the restroom." She gets up and leaves.
I still have my head down when I hear a stack of papers fall on the floor. I look up to the new teacher kneeling on the floor picking up papers. "Oh, let me help you" That is the first thing I say because I'm such a great person. I don't see his face even as I kneel across from him. Just by seeing his hands I know he's pretty young. We both reach for the last paper at the same time and our hands touch. I look up and we catch each other's eyes. His eyes are blue, no wait green, dark green?
"Hey Alex did he come by yet?" Ashley says.
We pull our hands away from each other's.
"Um... Here are your papers" I say with a shaky voice.
He gives a small bashful smile, "Thanks," he grabs the papers, "sorry I'm a bit nervous."
"Oh your the new teacher!" Ashley says a bit to excited. "I'm Ashley by the way." She smiles. "I'm Alex, but I'm sure you got that since she screamed it out." I glare at Ashley.
He smiles, "Nice to meet you."
He doesn't introduce himself yet.
Ashley and I sit down as the new teacher puts his stuff on his desk. I can see his features more. He looks about he's in his early twenties, has short black hair, which looks really nice, he has a professor looking suit on, and I'll admit he's attractive.
Ashley lends over and whispers, "I told you! And isn't he cute!"
I blush but move my face from her view, "no and shut up!"
He then writes his name on the white bored. Mr. Fits. That's such a different name. Sounds familiar.
"Mr. Fitz? Nice" Ashley says all cuties. I roll my eyes.
Mr. Fitz chuckles, "Thanks"
He's so nervous its seeping through him. It's adorable!
Omg what am I saying! Why do I feel like my heart dropped to my stomach? He's a teacher!

The bell rings and class starts. "Hello everyone. My name is Mr. Fitz and I will be your English teacher for the year." He smile and we catch each other's eyes for a split second. I look around the room and see the girls love struck, even Ash.
"So I'm going to tell you a little bit about me."He pulls up his chair to the front of the classroom. "First off many of you are going to ask. I am 24 years old," everyone gasp. He chuckles, "I graduated college the year 2017 of May. And yes that is this year."
Wow he is younger than I thought.
He then goes on about what he went to school for and why he wanted to be a teacher, but nothing more personal than his age.
I want to know more about. Probably many others do, but he just seems so familiar. I feel oddly comfortable with him even though I just met him...
