Asleep

"Barry! You slept here all night?!" Kara exclaimed.

Barry yawned and slowly opened his eyes. He had been browsing the internet and had fallen asleep in CATCO 's secret room. His eyes widened as he adjusted to the sunlight streaming from the windows.

"Where am I?" He wondered out loud, "Ah, different universe. With a flying girl guiding me around and wresting me..." He put his head down and continued to sleep.

Kara tapped his shoulder frantically. "C'mon Barry, what happened to 'getting back to my earth in a hurry?' Put on your running thing and let's go." She quickly changed into her suit and flew out the window.

Barry groggily lifted his head and looked around. Dang it, he was still on the wrong planet. The Tachyon device worked too well. Oh boy, should he or should he not tell Cisco and Caitlyn about this? If they had no idea this happened, it should stay that way. Things could get pretty messed up if they played with time and space.

"What are you doing? Where's your chest thing?"

"It's a Tachyon charger," he panted, "And I have no clue where it is!"

Her jaw hit the floor. "Are you serious? Do you need that thing to go back though?"

He scratched his head worryingly. "Well, I actually don't know. I probably do need it because it basically gave me a boost which caused me to run faster and into another universe entirely. Let's try without it. Maybe it charged me up."

Skeptically, Kara stretched her arms. "Okay, let's give it a go."

Barry a positioned himself in a runner's starting position. He took a deep breath as his eyes crackled with electricity and took off. Kara watched as he ran and followed behind him at a good pace.

Barry ran and ran across the bare land. Seconds passed without an entrance in sight.

Kara anxiously glided down until she was inches above his head. "Shouldn't something be happening by now?" She yelled over the booming wind.

Barry ran a few more seconds in case Kara was wrong. He grew more and more hopeless as time passed. Finally, he stopped. Panting and sweating, he slid a few feet forward and put his hands on his knees. Kara landed right beside him and stretched her arms above her head breathing hard.

She was in disbelief. "Is that it? Can't we do something?! You need to get back home!"

He shook his head. "Not without that Tachyon device I can't. I need to find it, and fast. Or else I'm stuck here."

Kara kicked at the ground and muttered a curse. "You mean we need to find it. I'll get you home, Barry. I promise you, I will."
