Chapter 5

Chapter 5 – Discovery. (Abby’s POV)

I sighed as I read over the autopsy report. Apparently the police have ruled of Keith’s death as a heart attack. I knew that wasn’t true…there was something we’re missing!

At the moment, we were back at Niall and Brittany’s apartment. The boys had fallen asleep on the couches again. Not that I cared that they were on my stuff….again! I sighed, once again, before Brittany came into the room.

“Arsenic. The poison was arsenic.” Brittany said to us.

“Arsenic? I’ve never heard of it!” I said to her seriously.

“It’s more commonly known as “The King of Poisons”. It’s virtually undetectable unless you know what you’re looking for specifically.” Brittany told us.

“But how could Arsenic get into his system? Doesn’t it usually take at least six to twelve months of exposure before it kills?” Katie asked Brittany.

Brittany shook her head.

“Not if it was injected straight into his blood system. He could’ve drunken the poison after it was injected into his system” Brittany said.

“Maybe Michael poisoned him?” Katie suggested.

“Ok…say if it was Michael that poisoned his brother, how is that possible? Keith would have to know his brother was alive to let him get that close” I said logically.

“Unless…Keith helped plan the escape” Brittany gasped out.

“That makes sense…but why the hell would Keith and John want to help out Michael? Weren’t they dead set against nuclear attacks?” Katie said as she flicked through the phone.

“Yeah they were but they love their brother. Remember that one interview when Keith nearly attacked the interviewer for saying that his brother was a lunatic?” I said to my girls.

“What about John? Maybe he knows something?” Brittany said.

“It’s a possibility. I will go over and see him now if you want?” I said to my girls.

“No, we should wait just a while and get all the information we can on Michael and Keith. If John knows something, we’re going to need something to break him into giving us information” Katie said to us.

“You’re right…for once. But at least contact Olivia again. I want to know if she has found anything” Brittany said cheekily while I laughed.

“Haha, hilarious Brit.” Katie said expressionless.

“But she is right. Unless we have something to break John with, he won’t come forward with the crimes he may have been involved with” I said to them.

“True…do you want to go over to John now, Abby? I can send you any information you may need to help” Brittany said to me.

I nodded and picked up my bag and began to leave. I was about to exit when I remembered I left my keys in the kitchen. That was when I heard some people talking in the lounge.

“You have to tell her Harry. She loves you” Niall said to the one guy I never want to see.

“Loved, Niall, she loved me but then I went ahead and ruined it.” Harry said bitterly.

“You have to tell her mate, before Liam gets the courage to talk to her.” Niall said to Harry.

Ok, who are they talking about? If there is a new girl involved in all of this, then she might know something about the disappearance we don’t….I resolved to text Brittany and get her to ask. Any love interest in Harry’s life is one thing I didn’t need to know. I grabbed my keys before leaving the apartment.
