Oh but my sweet darling sometimes counting the stars is all we have, that passes time without losing our minds

2 year old sage was running through the forest chasing a butterfly that had gotten away from her grasp. Giggles escaped here and there from her mouth as she would almost catch it and trip in the process. "Rose" a gentle like voice rang through the forest. Turning her head from the general direction of the voice. "momma" she let out and took of running. See her mum preferred to call her by her middle name she believed it suited her better, it was more of an angelic name. Coming to a stop Sage looked up at her mum her greenish eyes sparkled form the suns rays. "Come on now sweetie daddy is waiting back home for us. Smiling her and  her mum walked up the path that led them straight to the villa.

7 year old sage was sitting outside the house playing with some soldier toys, pretending to be one of them. " Sage" her fathers voice snapped her out of the trace of imagination. " Yes father?" she questioned looking up at him. "Time for training"  he spoke while looking away in the distance like he couldn't bring himself to look at her, this was a common thing, same with the training since she could hold a fork in her little fingers her father decided she would be ready to hold a hunting knife too. Standing up  she walked back into the house and into this little training room they had. Now standing in front of the knife throwing station she looked at her dad. "Why is this necessary father, I understand we serve I hier purpose but why" he looked at the target in front of her. "Oh my sweet rose" he paused his voice giving a sort of darkness to the way he spoke of her name. " One day you will see that we will rise to be the most strongest, most powerful of all people, we will be soldiers, soldiers of the angles. Sage turned back towards her target throwing the knife hitting straight in the middle. "good good" her father mumbled. Now 7 year old sage was smart, one of the smartest, hearing those words from her father didn't really faze her, he spoke like that all the time.

"Sage" her father  yelled from the downstairs study. Sage now 10 run down not wanting to anger her father with being late. "Yes" she said standing at the doorway. "come in and shut the door" he spoke his back to her, looking like was fixing some stuff. Closing the door sage took two small steps forward, now wary about her surrounding, she hasn't really been in here before, doors where always shut, she's pretty sure behind the book case theres another room looks out of place. " Whats about to happen, you will not speak of to anyone, not even to your mother. Mother.. Sage hasn't seen her mother for 3 years now, her mother said she had to leave, that she couldn't handle this anymore. This back then applied to the 7 year old girl as raising a child. But now she's not so sure. Here and there she gets a letter once a year. "I don't... I don't understand" She said now puzzled and freezing once her father turned around seeing he was holding a needle. Taking them two steps backwards now her back hitting the wall. " I know your not a big fan of these Rosie. But this.. this is necessary" Her father spoke closing the space and pricing her skin with the needle. Blackness over took her.

Black...White... Black... White...Black...White... Black... White...  Sage kept coming in and out of it. Finally staying awake to look around the room she was in with her father she saw all kinds of books and potions. "F-father" she croaked looking around trying to understand. "Shh now child its almost over" Feeling coldness running thought her veins she looked at her father as he stepped towards her with his stele, the light illuminating the darkness and his features, his dark brown eyes looking somewhat wild and lost, his black hair a mess on top of his head the runes on him jumping out at her, his neck rune flashing bright. Closing her eyes a scream echoed bouncing of the walls of the soundless room and the smell of burning flesh filled the air. "You will raise to be better now child, better than you where before" her father spat out at her as darkness took over once again.
