Blackwater Ridge

Lost Creek, Colorado

Third p.o.v

It was a late night and the three boys were relaxing in their tents, unaware of the danger lurking around them in the woods.

Quiet gunfire is heard from inside the first tent. "Dude, you're cheating." One of the boys says.

"No, you just suck." The other replies.

Across the camp in the second tent, the last boy is videotaping a message on his satellite phone to send to his family. "Hey, Hailey. Day 6. We're still out near Blackwater Ridge. We're fine, keeping safe, so don't worry. Talk to you tomorrow." And then cuts it off.

Back at the other tent, one of them closes their game and unzips the opening of the tent.

The other boy looks up at the noise. "Hey, where you going? My moment of victory."

"Nature calls." And then heads outside. He walks a small distance away after zipping the tent. A snap of a twig makes him jerk up and starts to look around nervously. A few seconds later, the sound comes closer before he is face to face with a disturbing sight and lets out a piercing scream.

The remaining boy in the first tent is startled by the sound and yells out to the boy in the second tent. "Brad?"

Brad stops reading his book and glances at the door of his tent. "Gary, what's going on?"

Gary gets up and moves to unzip the door of his tent to look outside. He peeks his head out and looks around before a growling noise is heard near him and the monster moves in to attack. Another yell rings out through the camp. Brad, the only remaining boy in the camp, moves to shut off his lamp and sits in the darkness of his tent in the hopes to keep himself hidden from whatever creature has taken his friends. A shadow moves by his tent quickly, an outline casting itself in front of him. More twigs snap and growling grows louder, the shadow quickly moving back and forth around his tent. The next thing he knows, a claw scratches into the tent in front of him and he lets out a bloodcurdling scream.

Sam's P.O.V

Walking down the aisles of tombstones was not something I'd see myself doing at any point after my mother's death. A bouquet of flowers is gripped in my left hand as I come up to Jess' grave. "I, um..." I say before a harsh chuckle breezes through my lips. "You always said roses were lame, so, I brought you, uh..." I can't seem to find anymore words to say, the sudden wave of sadness overwhelming me and I let out a heavy sigh. "Jess, oh, god." My words come out quickly before I kneel by her grave. "I should have protected you. I should have told you the truth." I lay the flowers down while the tears still pool in my eyes and I try my hardest to hold them back. Suddenly, a hand reaches out of the grave and I instantly jerk forward in the passenger seat of the Impala, my brothers rock music blaring around me.

(Y/N) P.O.V

I look up when Sam jerks awake from his obvious nightmare and glance up at the rearview mirror to catch Dean's gaze before looking over at the younger Winchester.

"You okay?" Dean asks tentatively.

Sam sighs before answering his brother. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Another nightmare?"
