Chapter 6 "The Guy"

It had been two days already and I was so excited to call his number tomorrow. I was too excited that I headed to the gym to burn some of my energy. I put my hair into two big goddesses braids. I put on my black leggings and my work hard in the gym white shirt. I paired my outfit with my running shoes. I got my cute water bottle with my lemons inside and headed to the rec center.

Since classes hasn't started and everybody was still trying to get comfortable with the campus, the rec wasn't that crowded. The rec center was so huge. When you walk in the basketball courts are the right hand side and there is a big pool on the left side.. The stairs in front lead to a huge gym with every machine, weights and a track.

I began to stretch my body out because I was so stiff and needed to get loosen up. As I was stretching many guys began to stare. What Leah had said was true. Many guys were smiling at me or even winking at me hoping I was going to give them attention back. I was so confused and did not now what to do.

After I was done stretching I put my arm phone holder on and my headphones in and began to run. I love to run. It helped clear my head and forget about all my surroundings. I just keep running until I don't want to run anymore. As I was running I look toward the stairs and there he was, coming up the stairs with his friends. I stopped running and began walking really slow as I just kept staring at him. I guess he could feel me staring at him because he looked dead at me. I broke the eye contact and began to run again.

As I ran a few laps, I felt someone trailing behind him. I slowly stopped running and looked behind me. It was him smiling at me and laughing.

"What's so funny?" I said

"You" He said with a smile

"How am I funny?" I said with my eyebrow up

"Cause you be staring at me and then play it off as if you wasn't looking and I obviously know you was looking sweetie" he said still grinning

I walked off the track and sat down on a bench and he joined me. I drank some water cause man I was thirsty from all that running I did.

"Yes I look at you, is it a problem?" I said curiously

"Yea it is, because I gave you my number and you still haven't used it" he said with his eyebrow up.

I bit my bottom lip because it wasn't even my fault I hadn't texted him. I was just trying to take Leah advice so I wouldn't seem thirsty for him. I was new to this so of course I was going to listen to her. She an expert when it came to picking up guys and keeping them around.

"I was going to text you tomorrow." I said

"Why tomorrow? When you could of texted me the day I gave you my number?"

"Good question. I don't know." I said with a smile and ran.

He began to run after me and as he caught up with me he wrapped his arm around my waist and we slowed down. We began to smile and laugh. We even fell and I fell on top of him. We laughed even harder at one another. He got up and helped me up.

"You are very beautiful,..." He said waiting for me to say my name

"Amari, Amari Love" I said with a blush face

"Trey" he said with a smile

"Okay Trey, you trying to race. Four laps." I said curiously

"What we racing for?" He said with an eyebrow

"If I win you gotta take me on a beautiful walk so we can get to know each other." I said smiling

"Okay, what I get if I win?" He asked curiously

"What do you want?" I asked

"I want to get a little taste of your juices." He said while laughing

"Are you serious?" I said with a disappointed face

"No I'm just joking. I already know you ain't that type." He said with a smile as he grabbed me around my waist

It's crazy how when everyone first meet me they know I'm not the freaky type. It's like I have not experienced on my forehead. Me being a virgin was starting to get to me because it seems like everyone here are not virgins. Then again, I was proud that I still had my virginity. I was in a day dream but it was broken when Trey told me what he really wanted.

"What I want is to take you on a nice date and treat you like a princess. You are very beautiful and I feel as if I need to show you how special you truly are."

He was looking me dead in my eye as he said his answer and I could feel him staring into my soul. He then leaned in and kissed me gently. My first kiss every and I was feeling all types of butterflies. He pulled me in tighter and kept kissing me.

And then he looked and whispered in my ear. "You ready for this race Ms. Love"

"I'm always ready"

I gave him a peck and tapped him in the nuts and began to run.

"Aye no fair you cheated" he said as he giggled

I had a little lead but I could feel him catching up to me. I figured he would catch up because he is a football player. All they do is run and he is also on the track team. I didn't give up either. I was running with all my might. I've never ran this fast in my life before.

We finally reached the last lap and I could feel him dart. As I hit the corner he passed me up. I began to run faster and faster but it was no use cause he had a lead on me. He had won. And I was so offended cause I don't take losing well. I had put on my puppy dog face and sat on the bench to catch my breath.

"Why the sad?" He said as he grabbed my chin

"I don't take losing well" I said still grumpy

"Well with me, be prepared to take many lost against me. I pretty good at a lot of things." He said smiling

"Don't flatter yourself too much" I said as I punched him in the arm.

After punching him I head towards the water fountain. I didn't know if the run made thirsty or seeing the sweat dripping down his entire body and him looking so delish.

"Why you punch me for?" Trey asked as he walked towards me

I got up from the water fountain and looked at him. "You was starting to get a big head so...."

I couldn't finish my sentences because he had kissed me for the second time. I could tell he was feeling me as much as I was feeling him.

"I'll pick you up Saturday at 8pm so I can take you on that beautiful date. And no I'm not going to tell you" he said as he kissed me on the forehead and met back up with his guys

I looked at my phone and a long hour had passed. I swear I didn't know it was that late. I had been in the gym for two hours in total. I can't complain because that last hour will be something I won't forget. My first kiss.
