When you have that sparkle of hope in this place you ignore it.
Through my life here I don't ignore it I embrace it and you it to hope for a better life in the future.
I live each day here as if it was my last and always hope I can find a place better than this place to call home.
My only family here is brook and as I get in trouble the lady says, " You dumb brown haired, green eyes girl." But when she says that it does make me mad but I use that anger to get through my tough times.
I am older than Brook so I always tell her a story called the great movement. The great movement is about kids our age standing up to the people at the orphanage and won. She always wants me to tell her that because she want to look forward to something.
We all went to sleep. Brook shook me because she heard the front door slam. So I cracked the door and saw there was a new teacher. I told brook that it was nothing and to go back to bed. It was going to be another mean, rude teacher.
In the morning, I was waiting to be yelled at by the new teacher. No she had the nicest voice and she was so kind. Guess what she is our rooms new teacher. Awesome !!!
She cared enough to actually get to know our names. She called out to me to come see her. As I went to see her she asked what the tallies were for. I told her that was how many day/months / years I have been here. She asked me how long I have been here. I told her, "I been here for six years and a day". "Very exact" she told me.
