"He sat on the verge of the cliff
As the cold wind breezed
His heart grew numb, and mind went grey
He couldn't see the colours, nor feel the love.He knows it's going to be a long way down
And it's going to hurt really bad
But he also knows
He won't get more hurt than he already isHe knows that sadness is just a passing cloud
Which should be smiled at and ignored
But he let it turn into darkness
And consume his soulHe's been strong for too long
He knows it's time to let go
Let go of pain
Pain which is forever shackled to his poor heartAnd as he fell into the dark abyss
And as he reached the bottom of the bottomless pit
And as he walloped the hard floor,
And as the life in him started to leaveHe saw light.
He saw her pleasant smile
He felt her soft hands touching his forehead
He felt her kiss on his cheeksAnd he felt her presence right there in the abyss
He muttered in a shaky voice the words
''I'm sorry..."
And he closed his eyes as he took his last breathAway from the world that wounded him and
Away from pain that haunted him
Right there in that melancholy abyss
He rested his heart forever..."
