I sigh dumping my house keys down on the cupboard beside the door, seeing Ashley run upstairs to her room. I went to close the door but am stopped when I hear Tyler yell out to me. "Stop sissy!" I look out the door at him.
His little feet slapping against the tiled driveway, his arms wide ready to hug me once he got closer. Mum and dad walked up the driveway behind him, mum carrying his little school bag. Once he reaches me he leaps into my arms and tightly wrap his little arms around me.
I smile and hold him up shaking his body side to side with mine. "Hey buddy, did you have fun at school?" I ask him. (Reminder; he's 5) He looked up at me with a large grin on his face.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! It was so fun, I made a new friend Ali." He says proudly/happily, I make a 'wow' face at him as I walk into the lounge room still holding him. "What's your friends name?" I ask him curiously.
He takes a second before shyly saying, "her names Alice." With a giggle. I raise my eyebrow at him in surprise, before grinning at him and teasingly say. "Awe does little Tyler have a girlfriend?" He shakes his head quickly.
"NO! Girls have cooties," he states scrunching his face up in disgust. "But she's your friend, so she mustn't be that bad!" I say with a laugh, his face goes blank turning into confusion. "But that's different she's my friend, not my girlfriend."
He states nodding slowly, as if he was trying to convince himself. "Okay Tyler whatever you say." I chuckle, he giggles and nods proudly. He gets up from my lap and jumps down from the couch. Reaching for my hand he grabs it and rugs me to follow him.
I get up and follow him as he drags me into the kitchen. "Ali, can you make me food? Please." He asks me looking up at me still holding my hand. I smile down at him.
"How about I just get you a snack from the cupboard for you?" He nods at me so I quickly lift him up holding him against my side. I bring him over to the cupboard so he could chose what he wanted.
"Do you want some, biscuits, chips maybe even. . . Hmm, i don't know? Chocolate?" I ask him, knowing he will definitely go for the chocolate. His eyes instantly light up when I mention it. "Chocolate Ali! Chocolate!" I laugh at his eagerness, "what do you have to say first?"
I ask him. "Please can I have chocolate Ali?" He asks me looking up at me slightly with a little pout. "Of course, good boy, use your manners." I open the large jar full of chocolate and hand him a Milky Way. "Here you go."
"Thank you," He says as he starts well I should say tries to unwrap the chocolate. "Do you need any help?" I ask him, he pouts and leans his head on my shoulder holding the chocolate up nodding sadly. I chuckle at his adorableness and I take the chocolate from his hand and quickly unwrapping it.
I hand him back the chocolate before throwing away the rubbish, and placing him on the floor. "You'll be a great mum." My eyes snap in the direction of Indi's voice, she and Ruby were standing in the kitchen door. I didn't even know they were here. Wow that's bad.
I quickly realised what she said and my eyes widen, "off you go Tyler." I say judging him along, he runs out of the kitchen, and I look behind the two girls to see if my parents where anywhere in sight.
I sigh in relief when they were no where in sight. "What are you guys doing here?" I ask them, ignoring what Ruby had just said. Despite it echoing in my head. 'You'll be a great mum.'
