*1 year later* Chapter 12

"Hey" Roc said coming in the door. "Hey" she said biting into a glaze donut. He slouched on the couch next to her and kissed her cheek. She looked down at her lap then back up at him. "We need to talk" she said. "Why? something wrong?" he asked. "Kinda..." she said looking away. "Ight tell me" he said. She took a deep breath and looked at him. "Roc...I'm pregnant" she said giving him a weak smile. "Oh my god.." he whispered. His face expression was in total shock. He got up from the couch and began pasting around the living room. It was silent for about 2 minutes, then Roc spoke. "So that's why you been eating so much?" he asked. "Yeah" she nodded. "Oh my god.." he whispered again. "How many months are you?" he asked. "Two" she said raising up the big sweatshirt she had on. "And why didn't you tell me sooner?" he asked again. "I wanted to surprise you" she said smiling. "Well I'm surprised all right" he said smiling back. "You told your mom?" he asked her. "Yup she was the one who told me to keep it a surprise" Aubrey said. Roc's face lit up in excitement. He placed his hand on her small belly and smiled. "Wow..this is amazing" he said laughing. "I know right you might have a son or daughter" she said hugging him. "I want both" he said. "Oh my god Roc I am not having twins" she said laughing. They both sat back down on the couch and looked at eachother. "When will you know?" Roc asked. "When I'm 4 or 5 months.. one of them I forget" she said giggling. "Soo right now I'm 8 weeks" she added. "I still can't believe this" he said with a shocked look. "Me either" she said excitedly. "Now that you know, We need to go grocery shopping I'm hungry" she said getting up. "I'm gonna be hearing those 2 words all day everyday" he said laughing. "Shutup" she said going into the bathroom. When she got out the shower they left to start their day. "I drive you drive?" she asked from the opposite side of the car. "I'll drive" he said. Roc got in the car and him and Bre talked. "You bouta be having cravings like a maud" he said laughing. "I swear this baby bouta be chunky" she agreed. "I wonder what's in there" he said rubbing her stomach. "Stop I don't think it's anything in there yet" she said laughing. "Sure it is, its a bump right there" he said feeling her belly again. "Stop that's annoying" she said slapping his hand. "Dang ..so mean" he said rolling his eyes playfully. "Get a cart" she said walking into the store. He grabbed the cart and began rolling it down the aisle's. Aubrey pretty much threw everything she saw in the cart. "Ughh I'm hungry now" Aubrey said. "Well let's hurry up then" he said pushing the cart. "Are you rushing me?" she asked throwing 3 boxes of Coco Puffs in the cart. "No not at all, god lee are you having mood swings already?" he asked. "Naw I'm just playing with you" she said laughing. They paid for the groceries and left. "I want burger king" she said. "Why didn't you say it sooner, we just passed it" he said. "Ughhh fine" she grunted. Literally 2 minutes later she wanted something else. "Pull over I want wing stop" she demanded. He pulled over in the parking lot and looked at her. "I want the 25 piece wing special with fries, with a large drink, & a large vanilla milkshake" she said smiling. Roc got out the car, got her food and came back in about 5 minutes. "Ugh finally I'm starving" she said snatching the bag. "You want some?" she asked. "Oh your sharing?" he asked sarcastically. "Sarcasm? now you ain't gettin nothin" she said laughing. "Come on Bre I'm hungry" he whined. "So" she said sticking out her tongue. After about 10 minutes she decided to give him some. "Mm" she mumbled holding out the tray. "Thank you" he said snatching it. "Ay watch it" she said giving him the look. "Lemme get that" Roc said helping her with the grocery. They got all the groceries and went upstairs. "I got it, sit down" he said grabbing her hand. "Awww so sweet" she said sitting on the couch. When Roc was done putting the groceries up he came and sat next to her on the couch. "What you wanna do?" he asked. "I don't know..I'm sleepy" she answered. "Me too" he said. He laid behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. They both fell asleep in minutes.❤ ** 4 weeks later ** "Ayy I'm 12 weeks today" Aubrey said boppin. "Somebody's happy" Roc said boppin with her. "I am" she said kissing him. "I am too" he said kissing her back. "You getting big too" he added. "I know right" she said looking down at her belly. "You hungry?" Roc asked going into the kitchen. "Mmm I don't know" she answered. "You've eaten 3 pickles already, how you don't know" he said. "Ion' know if I'm hungry" she started. "But I'm hungry tho." He looked at her with a weird look then spoke. "You tweakin hard today" he said laughing. "Naw you tweakin hard" she said punching him. "So are you hungry or not?" he asked. "Ughh no" she said. She got a container of grapes and slumped on the couch. "I kinda want a son" she said. "It doesn't matter to me" Roc said. "If we do, what names you like?" she asked. "Umm I like the name Roc" he said laughing. "Ofcourse" she said rolling her eyes playfully. "I like the name Kaiden" Roc added. "Aww me too" she said smiling. "Kaiden what?" she added. "Kaiden Amarion?" he asked. She froze for a minute and looked at him. "Yup. I love that name so if its a boy that's his name" she said smiling. "Great now, what if its a girl?" he asked. "Kaidence Amari" she said. "Aww I see what ya did there" he said pointing at her. "Yup. what time is it?" she asked. "Almost 6" he answered. "Ugh I need to start cooking, what you want?" she asked. "Doesn't matter" he said following her into the kitchen. "Mm I think I want chicken, macaroni, & spanish rice" she said. "Greedy butt" he said laughing. "Ha ha so funny" she said giving him a plain look. "I gotta feed your baby" she added. "Well my baby gon be fat how much you been eatin' " he said smirking. "Whatever hater" she said laughing. "I ain't no hater, you know I love you" he said hugging her from her behind. "I love you too" she said kissing him. **5 weeks later** "Hey Bre watcha doin?" Roc asked walking into the livingroom. "Nothing much..my stomach is killing me" she said. "Dang you wanna go to the hospital?" he asked. "I got an appointment today anyway but I think we need to go now" she said. Roc slipped her sandals on, grabbed her purse and helped her off the couch. He held her hand all the way down the stairs until they got to the car. "Hey ma" Aubrey said answering her phone. "Hey Bre wassup?" her mom asked. "Nothing much on my way to the appointment" she said. "Aww yay! we get to know what you having" her mom said excitedly. "I know we're so excited" Aubrey said laughing. "I knw y'all are! well call me when the appointments over, love y'all" her mom said. "Ok love you too" Bre said hanging up. When they got to the hospital they put Aubrey and Roc in their room so they could start the ultrasound. "I'm gonna put this blue jell on your belly. Its going to be a little cold" the nurse noted. "So cold" Aubrey laughed. When the nurse was done applying the jell to her belly, she got the wand and began the ultrasound. "Ooh this is gonna be a chunky one" the nurse laughed. Aubrey and Roc both laughed at the nurse's comment. "Oh I see something" the nurse said excitedly. "Wow.. Aubrey, Roc, looks like you all are going to have a baby boy" the nurse said. Aubrey stood up and gave Roc the biggest hug ever. "Congradulations" the nurse said smiling. "Thank you" Roc said shaking her hand. "Wow.. I have a son" Roc said. "This is so exciting I need to call my mom" Aubrey said pulling out her iPhone. "Hello mom? guess what?" she said excitedly. "Oooo tell me!" her mom yelled. "We're having a boy" Aubrey said. Her mom screamed so loud that she had to move the phone away from her ear. "Awww I'm gonna have a grandson" her mother said. "Yup. Well talk to you later love you" Aubrey said. "Love you too! and my grandson" her mom said laughing. Roc & Bre walked out of the hospital with all smiles. "I am huge" she said looking down at her belly. "That's how it supposed to look; your 5 months" Roc said. "My mom says we're going baby shopping today, wanna come?" she asked. "Ofcourse" he answered. When they got home, Aubrey showered and waited for her mom to come. Aubrey slipped on a pair of white love pink shorts, a tank top, and her pink and white gym shoes and chilled out on the couch. "Ooo Roc come here!" she yelled. Roc came as fast as he could. "What something wrong?" he asked. "Naw" she said grabbing his hand. She placed his hand on her belly and looked at him. "He's kicking" she smiled. "I don't feel anything" Roc said. "Just wait" she answered. She moved his hand on the side of her stomach. "I felt it" he smiled. "Does it hurt?" he asked. "Nope" she said. "He's kicking hard" he said as he felt another kick. "Yeah" she said smiling. Aubrey phone rang; it was her mom. "I'm outside" her mom said. "Ight here we come" Aubrey answered. Roc helped her up from the couch, and outside. "Hey ma" Aubrey said hugging her. "Hey maaa" Roc said laughing. "Heyyy I missed y'all" she said hugging them both. "Look at you" she said to Aubrey. "Yeah, look at me! Look at Roc" Aubrey said laughing. "Look at my son in law lookin good" mom said. "Thank you, you too" Roc said. "Thank you thank you, now enough chitchat we gotta go" mom said getting in the car. When they were all in the car they talked. "So y'all came up with any names?" mom asked. "Yeah we already decided on one" Aubrey said. "Ooo what is it?" she asked. "Kaiden" Roc said. "Awww that's so cute" she said. "Thanks mom, Roc thought of it" Aubrey said. "Oooh I thought he would name it Roc jr." mom laughed. "That's what he wanted to name him but naw" Aubrey laughed. "You talked to your mom lately?" mom asked Roc. "Yeah she's supposed to be coming over tonight" he answered. "Oh ok me you and her need to talk" mom said. "Oh what about Aubrey?" Aubrey asked pointing to herself. "Nope, just the three of us" her mom said. "Ight" Aubrey said. When they got downtown to the mall they went in a store called baby bump. "Roc you go look for a carseat and a baby bag while me & Bre look for clothes" mom said. "So when are you planning on decorating the babies room?" mom asked. "As soon as possible, I'm already 5 months" Aubrey answered. "Before you know it he'll be here" she added. "Mhm..you like this?" mom asked holding up a light blue shirt that read "Mommy's". "I love that; now we gotta find one that says daddy's" she said. Roc came back with not only a carseat and a baby bag, but a lot of other stuff. "Omg I love this carseat" Aubrey smiled. It was a black and blue carseat with stripes, with the matching baby bag. "Now what's all the rest of this stuff?" mom asked. "Socks, blankets, hats, & shirts" Roc said. "Mhm I see you" Aubrey said putting the rest of the things on the counter. "Whatchu' mean you see me?" Roc asked. "Nothing. I just see you" she said smiling. "Yeah ighttt, I see you too" he laughed. "Y'all goofy" mom said laughing. They paid for everything and left. "Y'all hungry?" mom asked. "Yup" Aubrey answered. "Bre I know you hungry" she laughed. Roc laughed too. "Y'all so mean" Aubrey pouted. "We playing..I'ma take y'all out for lunch real quick" mom said. They went to Friday's for lunch but didn't stay long because they had to get home. When they got home, they looked through all the stuff they had bought earlier. "Ok I have clear bins in the car, I'll go down and get them" mom said. "Ok mom, Roc you wanna put the bed up?" she asked from the livingroom. "Already started" he yelled from the back room. "Ok Roc is doing that, we need to get these clothes folded and into the bins" mom said. When they got finished sorting the clothes they went in the back room with Roc. "That was quick" Aubrey said. "Mhm" Roc said. They went back in the living room; someone knocked on the door. Roc opened it and it was his mom. "Hey ma" he said hugging her. "Hey son missed you" she said. "Hey Bre omg you look so cute!" she said hugging Aubrey. "Hey T!" his mom said hugging Teyana (Bre's mom). They all sat on the couch and had a nice long chat. "Ok now that we've caught up on everything, what y'all having?" Zaryn asked. (Zaryn is Roc's mom) "Ok..we're having a boy & his name is Kaiden" Aubrey said smiling. "Awwww congrats" Zaryn said rubbing Aubrey's belly. "Roc, Zaryn can I see y'all in the back?" Teyana asked. The three of them went to the back room while Aubrey stayed in the living room. "Ok me and Roc already knew what Aubrey was having before she knew, so we went out and bought $200 worth of baby stuff" she told Zaryn. "What? does she know?" Zaryn asked. "Nope. not a clue" Roc said. "So that's how you already knew what to name him?" she asked. "Yup" Roc nodded. "Wow when are y'all gonna give it to her?" she asked again. "Right now" Teyana said. They gathered everything they had bought and took it in the living room. "Surprise Bre" Roc said. Aubrey turned around ; her mouth dropped. "What's all this?" she asked looking surprised. "Its all for Kaiden" they said sitting everything on the table. "Let us explain" her mom started. "Me & Roc already knew what you were having so we went out and bought all of this" she said smiling. "Y'all did? how did y'all hide this from me?" Aubrey asked. "We just did" Roc said laughing. They looked through all the clothes, shoes, hats, blankets, diapers, bibs, bottles, etc. "Oh my god thank y'all" Aubrey said hugging them all. "Sure thing sweetie, now come on I'm hungry" Zaryn said. They ate dinner, talked and just had a good time. *3 months later* "Ouch" Aubrey moaned rubbing her stomach. The pains in her stomach were getting worse. She placed her hand on her stomach and closed her eyes. She was in so much pain it was crazy. "Bre you ok?" Roc said running in the kitchen. "Roc I-- Oh my god" she whispered. She looked down at the ground and saw the puddle of water. "Oh my god let's go" he said grabbing her hand and her hospital bag. They rushed downstairs, got in the car and rushed to the hospital. When they got there Aubrey was in even more pain. The nurses & doctors quickly rushed her to the delivery room. *17 hrs later* (Aubrey was in labor for 17hrs). On July 2nd, at 4:25am, Aubrey gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Teyana, Zaryn, Asia, Prodigy, Rayray, & Princeton all pilled in the room to see Aubrey. "Hey Bre" Asia waved. "Hey" Aubrey said low. "You still in pain?" Prod asked. "I wouldn't know, I can't feel anything" she said laughing. "Where's the baby?" Prince asked. "Right there" Aubrey said smiling. The nurses were just bringing him in from cleaning. The nurse carefully picked the baby up and gave it to Aubrey. "Congratulations" the nurse said. "Everyone, this is Kaiden" she smiled. "Aww he looks just like Roc" Teyana said. Everyone in the room took pics, and got a chance to hold the baby. "How many pounds?" Ray asked. "7 pounds, 5 ounces" Roc said. Roc laid Kaiden down in the clear bed and sat next to Aubrey. "He looks like you" Roc whispered. "He looks like me a little, like by the eyes" she said. "Yup pretty hazel eyes just like yours" he said kissing her cheek. "When can you go home?" Princeton asked. "In 2 days" she answered. "I'm exhausted, I look a mess, omg" Aubrey said. "Alright we should let Bre get some sleep" her mom said. "Ight see you bre" Ray said hugging her. "See y'all thanks for coming" Aubrey said. "You staying the night Roc?" his mom asked. "Yeah" he answered. "Alright, we're gonna go back to the house and get things settled" his mom said. "Ight see y'all tomorrow" Roc said hugging his mom. Teyana & Zaryn both left so it was just Roc, Aubrey and Kaiden. "Hey guys, I was wondering if the two of you decided to put him in the nursery for tonight, or stay here with you" the nurse said walking in. "Um he'll stay" Aubrey said. "Ok, you all need anything?" the nurse asked. "No thank you" Aubrey said. The nurse walked out the room into the hallway. "Go to sleep, you look exhausted" Roc said laying on the pull out couch. "I am.. love you goodnight even though its 5am" she said. "Love you too goodnight" he said. *The next morning* She opened her eyes wide due to the interruption of the bright sunlight. "Good morning" Roc said. He was already feeding Kaiden. "Hey" she said with her voice croaking. "Feeling better?" Roc asked. "Yeah my legs just feel numb" she said. "Knock knock" someone said coming in. "Hey mom" Aubrey said. "Hey sweetie, hey Roc" mom said hugging him. "Hey" Roc said. "Oh, the nurses said that they'll let y'all out at 9 tonight" mom said. "Ok.. did you pick Kaiden out an outfit?" Aubrey asked. "You bet I did" mom said smiling. She pulled out a blue hat, white pants, and a shirt that read "Mommy's baby". "Aww this is too cute" Aubrey said. When it came 9 o'clock, they packed their things, got dressed, and left the hospital with baby Kaiden. "Roc can you bring me his blanket" Aubrey said. "You breast feeding?" her mom asked. "Ugh no that's disgusting" she answered. "Wow Bre" her mom said. "Now. I'm sorry to tell you this but this is going to be harder than you think" her mom added. "I know mom.." Aubrey said looking down at the baby. "Things might get tough but don't ever regret having this baby" mom said looking at her. Aubrey looked down at Kaiden once more then back at her mom. "I won't thanks" she said hugging her. "Bre where the blankets?" Roc asked from the back room. "Top drawer" she answered. He brought her a light blue blanket and sat down next to her. "He's wide awake" Roc said. "Mhm. its crazy he looks just like you" Aubrey said. "He looks like you too" he said. "A little" she said. "Bre go get some sleep you look exhausted, we'll take care of Kaiden" her mom said. "You sure?" she asked. "Yeah" Roc said. Aubrey went in the room and took a long nap.
