⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Mabel's POV⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"So you're in Paz?"

"Yep, I'll be right over. I might take a while because I can't let my parents know I'm coming to help you guys. They would freak and...," Paz abruptly stopped mid-sentence but quickly recovered and began talking again. "I'll see you in a bit. We will find your brother Mabel, don't worry too much! Stay.."

"Stay what Paz? What were you saying?" I was so confused by the silence but then I heard scuffling at the other end.

There was heavy breathing and quiet grunts and I could only assume one of her parents, most likely her dad, was trying to take the phone away from her.

"GIVE IT HERE PACIFICA ELISE NORTHWEST!" Mr. Northwest's voice boomed into the phone. After one last shriek, the scuffling noise ended and the phone quickly disconnected.

Why did you stop mid-sentence? Why don't you live with someone else? Why do her parents disapprove her hanging out with us? Questions swam through my mind as I began to dial Wendy's number.

I looked over my shoulder as the phone rang and saw there were 5 fully packed backpacks laid messily on the table. Just then, Grunkle Stan rushed out of the kitchen with another backpack that was nearly stuffed to the brim. He placed the last backpack down with a grunt next to the others and instantly sat in his chair, turning on the television.

I silently giggled as I saw Grunkle Stan scramble to change the channel from his favorite soap opera, The Dutchess Approves, to a more masculine show, Baby Fights. He nervously glanced over to look in my direction and I instantly turned around and acted like I saw nothing. I heard him let out a sigh of relief and small grin plastered onto my face. I turned my attention to the phone as I heard Wendy say a lazy hello.

"Hey Mabel, what's up?" Wendy said nonchalantly. "Do you want to hang out? Am I supposed to be at work?" Wendy's voice changed just the slightest, but instantly went back to her chill tone.

"Well, I'm fine but Dipper's not. If you could come over to the shack like, right now, that would be great." I replied, trying to keep my voice calm.

"Does Dipper need help? Is he on a monster hunt and got lost? Does he need any help getting a girl?" Wendy asked.

"No it's not that... it's just...," I stumbled to find the right words.

"Geez Mabel, just tell me. You know you can tell me anything right? We're cool Mabel. You are like, one of the coolest tweens I've met. You and your nerdy brother." The red-headed girl said in a reassuring voice.

"Well, you see, Dipperranawaybecausewekindofgotintoafight..." I trailed off as tears sprouted from my eyes.

"Wait?! Dipper ran away!!! Why didn't you say that earlier?? I'll be right over! I'm always there for you...!" Wendy's last word got cut off because she hastily hung up. I slowly placed my phone down and let the tears fall down my cheeks.

Grunkle Stan called me over and I obediently went to him. The T.V. turned off and he turned to look at me.

"Yeah Grunkle? What's up?" He motioned for me to sit on the arm of the chair.

"We will find your brother Mabel. I know how it feels to lose a brother." Grunkle Stan wiped the tears off my cheeks and ruffled my hair.

"I know it's just," I paused, realizing what he had just said. "You lost a brother too?"
