chapter 2.

Mariana's pov

"Was that fun? Jesse asked lifting up the hood and smoke came out.

"What are you smilin' about?" I asked and his smile went bigger.

"I almost had you." He said and I smirked 

"You almost had me. You never had me. You never had your car. Granny shifting, not double-clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred-shot of Nos didn't blow the welds on the intake. Almost had me. Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fried. Ask any racer, any real racer. It don't matter if you win by and inch or a mile. Winnings winning." I said and walked up to him.

"You have a heavy foot you need to learn more." I said and shook his hand.

"Thanks." He said and I nodded and walked over to Dom when Leon said we got cops. I got in my car and sped off I got away only to crash. I groaned and called Vince.

"Maria?"

"Vince." I said and coughed.

"Where are you? Are you okay?"

"Down near t&k I flipped my car cause a truck came out of no where and my breaks weren't working."

"Wait I see Dom." I said and coughed more.

"Send Jesse to come get my car please." I coughed out and he said okay and hung up.

"Mariana!" Dom yelled and I groaned and he opened my door and I was upside down.

"My breaks weren't working. I swerved and my car flipped at least I missed the truck that kept driving." I said and I saw Brian and they got me out and I held my shoulder. We got a taxi half way and I sat in the back with Brian and I was trying not to fall asleep cause I hit my head on the wheel.

"Mariana don't fall asleep." Brian said and he tilted my head. The car stopped and Dom got out and opened the door and helped me out and picked me up and Brian got out and had my stuff. I took it and Dom took me to the door but asked Brian for a beer. Dom went in with me and Leon came over and took me up stairs. He got me cleaned up and popped my shoulder in making me scream. Which made me groan and hold my head. I went downstairs nd grabbed the tow truck keys and cause Jesse didn't go. I got in the tow truck and went and got my car. I went home and the party was over. I backed up in my drive way and lowered the car and than unhooked it. I drove it to the garage and got out and walked home. I wet to the garage and started to work on my car when it started getting light out. Dom came out and saw me working on my car.

"My breaks were cut." I said and he nodded and went to the back and grabbed something. He came over and gave me a set of breaks. He helped me take the old ones out. I put the new ones in and than went and got a shower and a got dressed. Pic above. I woke Jesse up and went and got something to eat. Mia also changed the bandage on my forehead from where I hit my head. We were taking my challenger I was working on that my dad left behind. Jesse came down and he drove cause my head still hurt. We got there and went to the office and he said he'd sit out here. I went in and talked to the principal.

"Come in next week and I'll have your diploma. I'll call you when the graduation for this is and send you a cap and gown." He said and I shook his hand and said thank you. I walked out and squealed. I jumped on Jesse's back and said to the car. He went to the car and I checked the breaks and everything and it was all good. I got in the car and Jesse got in and I sped off the house. I parked us in the garage next to the one my dad and my brother built.
