chapter 9.

Mariana's pov

Brian noticed I was excited and to see me happy about seeing Roman and he kept making me blush by bringing up that me and Roman dated. I loved Roman but he said to follow my dream and he'd wait for me. And I guess now is kind of our chance. Dom noticed me smiling when we walked into the warehouse. He stopped and looked at me.

"Why are you so happy?" He asked and I held in a smirked and said a reason and walked ahead.

"Glad you all met." Dom said and I saw Roman and I ran and jumped on him. His arms wrapped around me in an instant. I kissed him like my life depended on it and my brother being rude cleared his throat. I pulled away and blushed cause everyone was staring at us.

"Look a clown." I said and pointed and they all looked and I sighed in relief.

Dom's pov

"Yo, check this is out. This is Tej. Best circuit man on the east coast." Brian said to me

"And this is my boy, Roman Pearce. We go way back, I met this guy in juvi. I pulled that job with him in Miami." He said to me and I looked at Mariana and she sighed.

"I met him working with the cops in Miami and well we dated for two years and he said he'd wait for me while I followed my dreams of being a federal agent." She said and I nodded and shook his hand

"I've heard about you." I said to Roman.

"Nice digs." Han said to me.

"Yea, well the Ritz was sold out." I said with a smirk.

"So what's this all about, Dom?" Han asked me.

"Yeah, man, why did you drag us halfway around the world?" Tej asked me

"Because we got a job." Maria said and smirked.

---street race---

You guys mock up a track. O'Conner, Mariana, let's go gets some rides. I said with a smirk.

"Nice." They said with a smile. We got in my car and drove there.

"Home sweet home." Maria said with a smile. We just smirked.

"Or that. How bout that? all motor, no tuning issues. I always wanted one of those." Brain said looking at the blue car.

"You got a lot of balls to bring your problems here, Toretto. Not to mention cops." The guy said to me.

"Yeah, we can keep that on the low." Brian and Maria said to him. I smirked.

"Word on the street is a lot of people are looking for you three. What? You didn't think we'd recognize you?" He said to us.

"No, we're kinda counting on it." I said with a smirk. I let Mariana race first and she picked a American muscle car. She won cause she's a Toretto. Brian than went and won and we than drove to the warehouse.

"Where did you get that papa smurf?" Roman asked Brian and I chuckled. And we raced the track and we got another car and raced it. Mariana was caught by camera three but just by a second. She kept pushing it and Roman was watching her.

"Hurt her I'll break your neck." I said and stood next to him.

"I wouldn't dare. She'd kick my ass first." He said and I chuckled and said that for sure. Maria drifted perfectly and Roman was in shock.

"I think I'm in love again." He said and I chuckled. I looked at the camera and it was so close but camera three caught her. She parked and got out.

"That was good but camera three caught you." Han said and she groaned and tried it again. But she hit the side when she drifted and I saw her hit her head. I went down and she giggled.

"That's not what I had in mind." She said and giggled. I lifted her head and she had a cut on her forehead.

"Stop babying me I'm a big girl you old man." She said and teased me and I chuckled at her and she got out and held her head.

"My worse car crash was back in '01 still." She stated and me and Brian chuckled remembering us finding her.

"Han, Roman, Brian, Mariana and Gisele." Are going along with me! I said with a smirk. Maria smiled. We got in the van and went to the police station. We climbed out and onto the top and jumped over the gate and got into the cop cars and met at the stop light. Han threw down a bet and and Brian upped it to a million. The light turned green and I was tied with Mariana/Roman and Brian until I let off the throttle before the line. Brian won and I got second. We pulled up in the warehouse and parked.

"Good race O'conner." I said to Brian and Maria giggled and shook her head at me. 

"Thanks Dom." He said and turned to Roman and Han. And he high fived with Roman and Mariana said see told you he didn't notice. Brian looked confused

"Your boy right there he let off the throttle before the line. You didn't do anything he let you win." Roman said to Brian and walked away.

"Bullshit." I heard Brian say. I grabbed a beer and went to my car. And worked some more on my car.

Mariana's pov

Brian and Roman were working on the cars. When me and mia walked in with Vince behind us.  He saw Vince and that pissed him off. He went attack him but we told him not to.

"Reyes guys were waiting for me at the market. Vince saved our life." We said to Brian.

"Thanks man." Brian said and I sighed in relief. Roman hugged me and kissed me said he was glad I was okay.  

"You hungry?" Dom asked from across the room.

Yeah sure. He said back.

Good your saying grace. Was all we said to him and I started working on Roman's cop car. I was under neath when I was rolled out. I looked up to see Roman.

"You do that again I'll break you arm babe." I said and he chuckled and pulled me to my feet and kissed me.

"Come its dinner time." He said and I wiped my hands off and jumped on his back and giggled. He walked us out and he was so tense that I will have make him feel relaxed tonight. I jumped down and I grabbed a beer and Roman went and grabbed two and took them over to Brian and Mia.

"Are you serious right now? Is that why you let him win the quarter mile? A baby gift." Roman asked and I giggled and got up and went over to Roman.

"No bullshit your not taking this from me." Brian said and I giggled and Roman wrapped his arms around my waist.

"So did he slap that ass or did he grab and hold on to it?" Tej asked and I giggled and him and Roman said Ahhh. Everyone congratulated my sister and Brian. Dom did a speech and than we cheers. I was riding with Dom so I took Roman to bed and let me tell you wow he's still got it. He rolled over and I snuggled up to him and fell asleep. I woke up to a knock on the door. I groaned and got up and got dressed. I woke Roman up and he got dressed too and we walked out. Pic above. I said bye to Roman when Dom said to go with Roman. I ran and hugged him and Mia than Brian. I just had this feeling something bad might happen. I got in the driver seat and Roman got in the passengers seat and I took off with Han and Gisele following along with Tej.
