The drywall cracks
Putty, then paint maybe even replace the sheet
The stud breaks,
Replace then putty and paint maybe even remove the wall
The wall breaks,
Replace the wall, maybe even replace the house.
Fix the problem until you can't then replace the problem. Change is not a bad thing.
