Little Miss: Chapter 16

**** Nyla's POV ****

I stood there, frozen in my tracks. How in the holy hell did my dad get here. To too it off its Thanksgiving today, which he broke our family apart on thanksgiving so I really don't want him here.

"Do I at least get a hug?" My dad asks me.

"Um-um-s-sure" I stuttered while answering. He came over to me and hugged me tight, like he hasn't seen us in like forever. Even though it's been only like a year and a half.

"I've missed you so missed" he says while breaking the hug. I just smile at him and excuse myself.

"Um I gotta go to Cole's house, I'll be back at 3, mom" I say to my mom.

"Okay, you have 3 hours so go head!" She said with a smile.

I get out of the house and get out my phone. I dialed Cole's number. Since I still didnt get my license yet, I needed a ride. After 2 rings he answered.

"Hey babe, what's up?" Coles voice says through the phone.

"Hey, um nothin wondering if we can hang out till 3" I say

"Umm sure, you wanna come over and meet my family?" He asks.

I was hesitant at first. "Um sure, can you come and pick me up?"

"Yea be there in 5" he says

"Okay bye, love you" I say with a smile.

"Love you too" he says

We arrived at Coles house, and may I say, he has a lot of family members. We walked into the house and saw a bunch of relatives over. Old, young, infants, toddlers, teens. How can he keep up with names? I looked around the house when I noticed a certain someone that I've met before. It was Josh. I didn't know he was related to Cole. He saw me staring and smiled. I smiled back, and he started walking towards me and Cole. Cole tightens his grip on my hand.

"Hey Cole, I didn't know your friends with Nyla" Josh says to Cole.

"Wait how do you know Nyla?" Cole asks still not taking apart our hands.

"Well we met at the hospital, when she got off crutches, she bumped into me" Josh says while glaring down at our intertwined hands.

"Oh, um cool" was the only thing that came out of Cole's mouth.

"So Nyla, wanna go out Tonight?" Josh asks me. Cole's grip tightens even more on my hand, telling me to say no, I already have a boyfriend why is he getting so tensed up?

"Um, sorry" I said looking over at Cole. "We have a thing tonight" I lie

"What would that be?" Josh asks with eyebrows raised.

"Josh, just shut up! She's trying to let you down easily. She already has a boyfriend" Cole says

"And who would that be? Huh?" Josh says

"Me" Cole say while putting his arm around my waist and pulling me close to him.

"Yea right, a girl this pretty just doesn't go after a guy like you" Josh says

"Well If you don't believe me, ask her" Cole says while gesturing to me.

"Is it true?" josh questions with a glint in his eyes.

I looked up at him. "Yea It is true, but why would you care?" I ask. "You probably pick up girls play with them, like they're toys and then just leave them"
